Zubeia is one of the three overarching protagonists (alongside King Harrow and Leola) of Netflix‘s The Dragon Prince franchise.
She is Avizandum's mate and the mother of Azymondias, who became depressed after both of them seemingly died, but after Team Zym were able to bring Azymondias back to her, Zubeia would become more hopeful and would grow to become a great ally of Katolis and Team Zym and aided them in their quest to stop Aaravos, even giving her life to stop him.
She was voiced by Nicole Oliver.

What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Good?[]
- Like all the other archdragons, Zubeia allowed Queen Aditi to decide who would become the next ruler of the dragons after the death of Luna Tenebris.
- She helped in imprisioning Aaravos, preventing him from bringing ruin to the world for 300 years.
- To prevent Aaravos from being freed, she and Avizandum used a mirror to spy on Aaravos while he was in his prison, which worked up until Viren went to the Storm Spire and obtained it.
- After Domina lost herself with grief over the loss of her friend, the Empress of the Deep, and left to guard the oceans, Zubeia made an attempt to convince her to not lose herself over her loss, although this didn't work.
- While she was filled with grief over Avizandum and presumably her son's deaths, to the point that she ordered assassins to kill Harrow and Ezran in revenge, Zubeia would come to regret her actions and tried to help Ezran and bring union between Xadia and the Human Kingdoms after realizing the things she had done and allowed to happen through being indifferent to her mate's acts towards humans. She also grows to become so fond of Ezran that she even thinks of him as her son's brother.
- After waking up from her sleep, she helped in bringing peace between Xadia and the Human Kingdoms, aiding Ezran and his allies to try to bring an end to all the conflict between the two.
- After finding out about Aaravos' plan to be freed with the help of Claudia, Zubeia helped Team Zym get to Umber Tor and meet Rex Igneous since he knew a clue about where Aaravos was imprisioned.
- She tried to make Zym stay in the Storm Spire to make sure he wouldn't be a target of Rex Igneous' anger, as she knew about Rex and Avizandum's rivarly, although Zym refused to listen.
- She saved Team Zym from being killed by Rex Igneous.
- In spite of being mad at Zym for desobeying her and nearly getting himself killed, she still allowed him to take part in the group's hug.
- She showed Ezran, Soren and Corvus where the Siren Stone, an object capable of calling Domina Profundis, was in order to meet her and find out where Aaravos' prison was and get there before Claudia did.
- She defended Ezran when Domina refused to listen to what Ezran was saying, making her take the young king seriously and allow them to know about Akiyu, who knew of the location of Aaravos' prison.
- She saved Callum, Rayla and Amaya from being killed by corrupted banthers, and helped the latter save Bait when they realized he was left behind.
- She helped in getting Team Zym into the tidepools where Akiyu lived so they could meet her and find out where Aaravos' prison was.
- After having a dream where she was confronted by Avizandum, Zubeia found the strength to try to face through her infetion caused by a corrupted banther's bite and tried to fly to Team Zym to help them, although she was unable to do so.
- When found by Soren, Corvus and Zym, she told her son to return to Ezran to help him.
- She tried to stop a fight between Rex Igneous and Avizandum, unaware that the latter had been brainwashed by Aaravos, and was horrified when she saw Rex die.
- She broke Avizandum out of his brainwashing, which allowed the archdragons to defeat Aaravos.
- She and Avizandum sacificed themselves to destroy Aaravos' physical form, preventing him from bringing eternal night for 7 years.
- In her last moments, Zubeia assured Azymondias that she would always love him.
- Her sacrifice, along with those of the other archdragons, allowed Team Zym to retain their morality and not lose sight of who they were to stop Aaravos, as well as allowing them to prepare for when Aaravos eventually returns.
What Prevents Her From Being Pure Good?[]
- She is shown to be willing to use lethal force to achieve her goals, with the biggest moment of this being when she threatened to kill Terbium and Chert if they didn't open the doors to Umber Tor so they could talk with Rex Igneous, roaring at them with such strength that Chert fell to the ground. While she did it due to the golems' refusal to allow her and the group to get to Umber Tor in spite of Claudia trying to free Aaravos as they spoke, this is meant to serve as a contrast between her and Ezran and show her willingness to threaten others if it helps her. However, given the situation they were in, this is a minor prevention.
Trivia[]
- She and Queen Sarai are the two Near Pure Goods in The Dragon Prince so far. Ironically, both are mothers of main characters.
