Near Pure Good Hero Wiki

Zone Fighter, also known as Hikaru is the titular main protagonist of the series of the same name. He is the eldest son of the Zone family and the most powerful.

In his small sized forms, he was portrayed by Kazuya Aoyama while out of costume and Tatsumi Nikamoto while in costume. In his giant form, he was suit performed and voiced by Kinichi Kusumi who also played Anguirus in Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla.

His Good Ranking[]

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]

In General[]

  • While he did kill nearly all of the terror beasts, it was to prevent them from causing more death and destruction since they couldn’t be reasoned with. In fact some of the terror beasts were in fact were either created by multiple Garogas fusing with each other (examples: Red Spark, Detragon, Moguranda, and Grontoguirus) or one Garoga transforming into them (Spyler).
    • Similarly, while he did kill several Garogas throughout the show, it was usually out of self-defense and or to protect people as the Garogas repeatedly attempted to kill him and his family and wipe out humanity. Furthermore, most of time, he and his siblings would usually just knock them out or let them retreat.
  • Easily passes for defeating each and every one of Baron Garoga’s terror beasts and monsters (including Gigan, one of Godzilla reoccurring and challenging opponents, for good) and preventing him from conquering Earth and the universe and committing genocide on humanity and other races. Additionally, due to appearing in a tv show rather than a movie, he technically defeated way more monsters than Godzilla did. While Godzilla did defeat several alien invaders and evil forces such as the Xiliens, the M Space Hunter Nebulans, the seatopians, the black hole simians, and the kilaaks, none of them were as dangerous as the Garogas who (as stated before) not only threatened Earth but the universe as well.

As Hikaru[]

  • In episode 1, he prevented 3 garogas from executing his father and a mother and her kid who had accidentally been caught up with them.
  • In episode 3, he saved Takeru and a father and his son Momoru from a group of Garogas.
  • In episode 6, he saved his family from getting executed by the Garogas.
  • In episode 7, he threw the bomb one of the Garogas left in his family’s house before it could blow up and kill them all.
  • In episode 8, he rescued Takeru and Akira when the two were locked up by a trio of Garogas.
  • In episode 13, he got rid of the bomb that was placed Hotaru’s birthday cake and later saved Hotaru herself when she was captured by the Garogas.
  • In episode 16, he threw a robot toy that had cyanide gas out of him and his family’s house.
  • In episode 17, he saved Akira and Hotaruo from the Garoga’s negative space dimension.
  • In episode 22, he saved Junko Wakasugi from two Garoga.
  • In episode 23, he saved a woman and her child from Red Garoga.
  • In episode 24, he (alongside Zone Angel/Hotaru and Zone Junior/Akira) helped a bunch of villagers escape from one of the Garogas bases and or vent them from being turned into androids.
  • In episode 25, he helped free Mina from a tree branch she was stuck under and later nursed her back to health.
  • In episode 26, he gave a father and his son a ride to the hospital when the latter’s eyes became blind.

As Zone Fighter[]

  • In episode 1, he defeated Red Spark and Jikiro.
    • During his battle with the latter, he stopped it from destroying an airplane filled with lots of people.
  • In episode 2, he defeated Destro-King.
  • In episode 3, he defeated Dorora and destroyed one of their bases.
  • In episode 4, he defeated Spyler.
  • In episode 6, he defeated King Ghidorah.
    • Additionally, he also saved a bunch of people in cars who were caught in King Ghidorah’s windstorms.
  • In episode 7, he defeated Dragon King and Gilmaras.
    • During his fight with the former, he prevented from destroying a damn.
  • In episode 8, he defeated Gelderah.
  • In episode 9, he defeated Spider-Uros.
  • In episode 11, he defeated Gigan.
  • In episode 12, he defeated Barakidon.
  • In episode 13, he defeated Garoborg.
  • In episode 14, he defeated Detragon.
  • In episode 15, he (and Godzilla) defeated Zandolla.
  • In episode 16, he defeated Moguranda.
  • In episode 17, he defeated Barugas and returned the Zone Family’s ship Smokey back to Earth.
  • In episode 19, he defeated Gondarguirus and used him prevent a comet from reaching Japan and destroying it.
  • In episode 20, he defeated Goram and saved the children that were inside of it.
    • Additionally, during the fight he made sure not to use his meteor missile attack in order to avoid harming the children and instead let it tire itself out.
  • In episode 21, he (and Godzilla) defeated Jellar and Kastam Jellar.
  • In episode 22, he defeated Super Jikiro.
  • In episode 23, he defeated Bakugon.
  • In episode 24, he defeated Needlar and destroyed the Garogas base which they were going to use to turn humanity into Androids.
  • In episode 25, he defeated Kabutogirah and Garoborg.
  • In episode 26, he defeated Grontoguirus.
  • Even though the series’s resolution was never shown, it can safely be assumed that Zone Fighter and his family successfully defeated Baron Garoga and his forces and prevented them from conquering Earth and the rest of the universe since Earth is shown to be completely fine in Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla.

What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]

  • While going to rescue the kids from the Garogas in episode 19, Five  Garogas agents (disguised as humans) try to shoot him. Only for him to jump up in the air and dodge them, resulting in them shooting themselves. In response to this, Hikaru unsympathetically remarks “Should feel good to be killed by your mates”.

Trivia[]

  • He and Torema are the only Godzilla Near Pure Goods to originate in a TV Show and are aliens.
