~ Yunobo saving Daruk from Fireblight Ganon |
Yunobo is a major character in the “Era of the Wilds” saga within The Legend of Zelda franchise, which consists of the 2017 action-adventure video game The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, its 2023 sequel The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and their 2020 hack-and-slash spin-off Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity.
He is a shy, cowardly, young Goron who lived in Goron City and works with his aging boss, Bludo in the Goron Mines. Ever since he meets Link and assists him with appeasing Divine Beast Vah Rudania, he steadily becomes braver, though he does retain some of his fears. In Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, he travels to the past to save Daruk from Fireblight Ganon and bonds with him as they fought back Calamity Ganon's monstrous forces. He wields the Rock Roast Flambé.
His Good Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]
- He, alongside Bludo, have managed to chase Vah Rudania away several times, even though their efforts were only temporary as it keeps returning. They had to do this to protect Goron City from its relentless eruptions it was causing.
- He is often in charge of providing his boss pain killers, due to the latter's old age, and he was needed for operating his cannons, which he alternated between since he couldn't do both jobs at once.
- After learning that Bludo had to cancel their attack due to back pain, he recalls that Link used a cannon without much trouble, and with Link's insistence on proceeding anyway, he agrees (albeit reluctantly).
- He teams up with Link to appease the ramping Vah Rudania where he used himself as a cannonball in conjunction with Daruk's Protection so Link can get inside to deal with the source of Rudania's odd behavior.
- He starts becoming braver than he used to be, which would eventually lead him to the past where his courage is put to the ultimate test.
- In Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, he saw that Daruk was in danger aboard Rudania and quickly jumped through the portal to block Fireblight Ganon's attack, saving his life and allowing him to hold his own longer until help arrived. Ruta, Rudania, and also Medoh and Naboris are still kept under Hyrulean control.
- He assisted Daruk in protecting the eastern half of Hyrule and the allied stronghold there while taking down the enemy stronghold by taking down bridges to keep the corrupted Guardians out.
- He and Daruk backed up Urbosa and Riju at Fort Hateno with the other Champions and their Divine Beasts when they were outnumbered in battle.
- He assisted the united armies in bringing down Ganon's monsters to drop the barrier, so the Champions can open fire to weaken Ganon.
- He briefly mourned Terrako's broken state as it was the reason why he and the other successors ended up in the past to save their predecessors and able to make a difference for the better before proceeding upstairs.
- He partakes in the battle against Calamity Ganon to help Link and Zelda weaken it enough for them to finish it off.
- In the Guardian of Remembrance DLC, he protects the Sheikah citizens of Kakariko Village from the attacks brought about by the monsters and the Yiga Clan, saving their lives in the process.
- He has no corrupting factors.
What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]
- He fails the admirable standards to Link, Terrako, and the Champions (including Daruk), who each managed to outdo him and have contributed the most out of them all.
