Hope van Dyne, also known as Wasp, is a major character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
She is a former board member of the company founded by her father, Pym Technologies. When the CEO, Darren Cross, attempted to create and sell a new weapon based on her father's Ant-Man Suit, van Dyne reunited with her estranged father and, along with a thief Scott Lang, stopped Cross. After these events, Pym offered Hope her presumed late mother's mantle as the Wasp. Following the Avengers Civil War, Hope assisted her father and Scott in finding her mother in the Quantum Realm and stopping Ghost.
She is portrayed by Evangeline Lilly. As a child, she was portrayed by Madeleine McGraw, who also portrayed the young version of Amara Namani.

- She finally passes the goodness zone by going back into the portal to rescue Ant-Man from Kang by shooting him and allowing Ant-Man to kick him into the Multiversal Power Core which consumed him and blew him up, therefore saving the lives of thousands of Freedom Fighters in the Quantum Realm.
What Prevents Her From Being Pure Good?[]
- The MCU has a lot of admirable heroes, and due to this, she fails the admirable standards to people like Black Widow who stopped Dreykov and saved the lives of many women and Thor, who stopped two versions of Thanos from attacking Earth and Gorr from killing Gods. She also fails to Ant-Man, who used time travel to bring everybody back and Iron Man, who saved the whole world from Thanos. However, she did save the Quantum Realm from Kang, saving Ant-Man and the lives of thousands of freedom fighters in there which is enough for her to stand out, so this isn't too mitigating.
- She occassionally has moments where she is lethal towards her enemies. However, she shows no sadism in them so this is a minor prevention.
Trivia[]
- It is unknown whether or not her What If.…? counterparts would qualify as NPG or not, considering her first counterpart sacrificed herself to save the survivors from the zombies and her second counterpart redeemed Peter Quill.
