~ Violet telling Dash that only they can save their parents |
Violet "Vi" Parr is one of the five main protagonists of Pixar's The Incredibles franchise. She is the daughter of Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl and the older sister of Dash and Jack-Jack. She has the power of invisibility and the ability to produce force fields.
Violet is very shy and withdrawn, she has a crush on a boy in her school named Tony but is too shy to approach him and turns herself invisible whenever he looks her way to avoid attention. At home, she can be quite ill-tempered and fights a lot with her little brother, Dash.
She was voiced by Sarah Vowell.

Her Good Ranking[]
What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Good?[]
In General[]
- Unlike Dash, who is mischievous and showed little remorse for inadvertently getting several of Syndrome's goons killed, and Jack-Jack, who significantly lacks moral agency, Violet is very consciously compassionate and virtuous for her age and is just as heroic as her parents despite not being alive during the Golden Age Era.
The Incredibles[]
- She calls out her own parents on their "pretty loud discussion" and quickly desists when Bob ensures her that he and his wife are "always a team".
- She suspects Helen is hiding something but is very polite about it.
- She tried to prevent Dash from stowing away on Helen's jet. She also arranged for a babysitter to take care of Jack Jack before she left.
- She tries to stop missiles from hitting the jet she, Dash, and Elastigirl are in using her force field (despite having never made one that big before) but fails. She feels very bad about being unable to stop the missiles but Elastigirl reassures her that it wasn't her fault as she asked too much of her too soon.
- She tries to reason with Dash about how much is at stake, desisting when he scoffs that their parents' marriage could be part of it and rightfully calls him immature for being that skeptical about her claims.
- When Elastigirl doesn't return, she decides that Violet and Dash should go out and look for them. Unlike Dash, she suspects the bird is a drone and compels him to flee with her.
- When one of Syndrome's henchmen is about to shoot Dash, Violet jumps in front of him, creating a force field and saving him. As mentioned above, she was unaware that she was able to create a force field big enough because of her insecurities, showing she was willing to sacrifice herself for her brother. While their suits were "virtually indestructible", she had no idea. Unlike Dash, she only takes the life of one of the security guards, and it is by complete accident.
- She frees her family when they are captured by Syndrome by releasing herself using her force-fields to sever her magnetic bonds and deactivating the machine holding her family captive. After they escape Syndrome's island with the help of Mirage, they head to the city and save it from the Omnidroid.
- When Syndrome's jet is destroyed, she shields her family from falling debris with her force field powers.
Incredibles 2[]
- When The Underminer attacks, she saves civilians by using her force field to shield them from falling rubble. She protects her family from the explosion when The Underminer's drill gets destroyed.
- While she is initially very angry at her father for telling Rick Dicker about Tony and erasing his memories of her, she later forgives him.
- When her parents and other supers are kidnapped and brainwashed by Evelyn Deavor from their brainwashing, with Dash and Jack-Jack, they get on Deavor's ship and release them from her control.
- She helps prevent the Everjust ship from crashing into the city, an effort that leads to supers becoming legal again.
What Prevents Her From Being Pure Good?[]
- She is considerably wrathful (in a bad way) and can lash out at her family at times when the bad things are not their fault and argues a lot with Dash, especially in the first movie, such as when she violently pummels him for joking about her high-school crush and heatedly blames him for stowing away on Helen's jet and tells him he's not "sticking [her] with babysitting". While she mellows out in the second movie, she can still throw fits, such as when she tries to rip apart her own suit after learning the truth about Tony, for instance.
