Near Pure Good Hero Wiki
NOTE: This page is solely and exclusively about Vidia's version of the Disney Fairies franchise, which consists of the six films and the short films; since her version of the books was not voted as Near Pure Good. Therefore, onde informations and deeds about Vidia from the movies and shorts should be added here

I'm a fast-flying fairy; a true rare talent. And this just a small part of what I do.
~ Vidia to Tinker Bell.
Tinker Bell getting trapped is all my fault! I slammed the door in Tinker Bell to teach a lesson, I tried to get her out, but the door was stuck! I tried, but I couldn't. And now, I've put her and all of us in danger. I am so sorry.'
~ Vidia confessing to the group how she accidentally left Tinker Bell to get captured and showing remorse, showing her good side.

Vidia is a supporting character in the Disney Fairies franchise, which serves as a spinoff of Disney's Peter Pan franchise.

She has the ability to fly at super speeds, and can create small whirlwinds and such. She has recently began to rethink her wicked ways and has become friends with her former victims, even risking her life for them. She still remains sarcastic, calculating, and temperamental as she always was, and although she can be mean, wicked, uncaring, and vindictive, Vidia has a soft spot as well.

She was voiced by Pamela Adlon. In the Korean dub, she’s dubbed by Soyeon, who also dubbed for Peni Parker from Sony’s Spider-Man movies.

Her Good Ranking[]

What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Good?[]

In General[]

  • Although Vidia began as an antagonist who served as an obstacle to Tinker Bell, she never committed any serious crimes. Furthermore, after her punishment at the end of the first film, she never intentionally harmed anyone again.
  • Despite her arrogance and occasional sarcastic comments, she never intends to genuinely offend anyone or leave hurt feelings, and most of these moments are played for laughs.
  • Despite the Admirable Standard of the Disney Fairies franchise (which is also within the Admirable Standard of the Peter Pan franchise), Vidia stands out for having been the most important part in saving Tinker Bell in the third film, starting the rescue mission and even risking her own life to prevent Dr. Griffiths from catching her; and for her fundamental role in helping the group recover the blue pixie dust.

Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue[]

  • When Tinker Bell leaves the fairy camp to get close to the humans' house, Vidia follows her to make sure she doesn't do anything stupid.
  • Even though she locked Tinker Bell in Lizzy Griffiths's dollhouse, it was only to teach her a lesson about humans being dangerous, and she didn't expect Lizzy to show up and take Tinker with her. When that happened, Vidia deeply regretted it and went to warn the other fairies.
  • After her guilt eats away at her to the point where she can no longer hide the truth, she confesses that she slammed the door that trapped Tinker Bell and expresses her remorse that both she and the group ended up in this situation, and when they forgive her, she joins her hand with theirs to say "Faith, trust, and pixie dust," which she did not do before.
  • When they arrive at the Griffiths' house and Mr. Twitches attacks them, Vidia comes up with the idea of using the tea sets as platforms to escape, helping to save the group.
  • While the others try to calm Twitches down, she goes after Tinker, and when she realizes that Dr. Griffiths intended to trap her in a jar to take her to a museum, Vidia pushes Tinker out of the way and is trapped in her place.
  • After Lizzy and the other fairies convince the doctor to release Vidia, she gratefully embraces Tinker Bell, letting go of all her antipathy toward her. After flying away with them, she joins their picnic, showing that her selfish side has been left behind.

Secret of the Wings[]

  • She, along with the others, helped Tinker allow her sister, Periwinkle, to visit the summer side of Pixie Hollow.
  • When Periwinkle's wings begin to wilt from the heat, she and the others take her back to the Winter Woods.
  • She helps the group destroy the snow generator, which was freezing Pixie Hollow.

The Pirate Fairy[]

  • When Zarina puts everyone at the Autumn Festival to sleep and steals the blue pixie dust, Vidia and the others go after her to retrieve the stolen dust.
  • When the fairies have their talents switched, Vidia, using tinker thinking, uses Crocky's eggshell to make a makeshift boat for the fairies to reach the pirate ship.
  • She makes a disguise so the fairies can walk on the ship without being seen.
  • She, along with the others, confronts the pirates in the final battle, and it is implied that she was the one who made the swords they used.
  • Although, unlike Tinker, she was not willing to forgive Zarina, she subverts this after the fairies save her, where she comforts her and even agrees to fight alongside her, and even helping in the presentation she made of her talent as an alchemist at the end.

Tinker Bell and the Legend of the Neverbeast[]

  • She, along with the rest of the group, help keep Gruff hidden from the defender fairies.
  • She accompanies everyone at the end to take Gruff to his hibernation, even making a gentle breeze for him and shedding a tear for him.

What Prevents Her From Being Pure Good?[]

  • Even though she's almost completely reformed, she makes a few snarky comments here and there, like saying she was looking forward to seeing Rosetta embarrass herself in the Pixie Hollow Games and some sarcastic remarks in the shorts and the sixth film. However, since they're just brief comments that, for the most part, aren't actually mean-spirited and are meant as jokes, this is a minor prevention.

Trivia[]

  • To date, she is the only character from Disney's Peter Pan franchise to be an NPG.
  • Her version in the books doesn't count as Near Pure Good because she's much more villainous, On & Off, and never changed for the better.
  • She shares similarities with Chloé Bourgeois from Miraculous. Both served as rivals to the protagonists (Vidia to Tinker Bell and Chloé to Marinette), sharing their arrogance and deceitful methods, and even sharing the same hairstyle. However, while Vidia was able to learn from her mistakes and change for the better, becoming friends with the other fairies, Chloé refused to change until the end and ended up alone. Both also have opposing moral classifications: Chloé is Near Pure Evil, while Vidia is Near Pure Good.
