Isobel So a lot of you may not be familiar with this TV show, so let me explain.

What’s the work?

Turning Mecard is an animated children’s show produced by Sonokong and ChoiRock, which are Korean animation companies. The TV show has two series and one movie, Turning Mecard, Turning Mecard W and Turning Mecard: Revival of Black Mirror (also known as Turning Mecard: Resurrection of Black Mirror), it’s about Chan (Jason in the English dub), facing enemies to protect the world’s peace by taming mechanimals (which are powerful humanoid robots) and battling their opponents with them, which the winner has the choice to take the mechanimal of whoever lost the battle, and Black Mirror (Black Reef in the Mattel version) is the overall antagonist.

Who is She

Isobel is a tamer, who’s a part of Blue Land and her father is Dr. Franklin, she came to earth from triforce, her universe to look for more mechanimals since her team thought that mechanimals should be sealed up for their protection. However, she still went to school, and became friends with Jason, although she was initially a bit cold. And as she and Jason became friends, and after knowing that Jason is the chosen one that will save the world, they also teamed up to defeat Black Mirror and later, other enemies too.

Admirable Standards

Got to admit, that this series’ admirable standards is quite a bit. Before the series even started, there were two teams of Triforce who opposed each other’s opinions, Red Hall thought that mechanimals should be used to fight Black Mirror, but Blue Land thought that the mechanimals should be sealed up for their protection. And Isobel, is team Blue Land, and Black Mirror is a very heinous villain with an unidentified gender, so I will just refer Black Mirror as “it” over here. So anyways, Black Mirror is an evil being that was implied to have been created by people’s evil hearts (though not visibly shown how it was created), I don’t exactly remember what was the “best” thing it tried to do in the first series, but some of the actions that it did was brainwashing Ryan and Isobel for using them to get to its goals to use the mechanimals for evil and later in the movie, which is in the same place as the series, it skipped to 30 years to seek revenge on Jason and his friends and tried to take over all living things. Isobel contributed to defeating Black Mirror during the two times. In the second series, there are new villains, but the admirable standards and heinous standards are pretty the same level. There’s Damian, who tried to eliminate all mechanimals away from existence to make the future a “better” place and Cantar Scorn, who wanted to take over/destroy the world. In defeating (redeeming for Damian), Isobel contributed to this with her friends. For other characters it’s also the same amount of admirable standards, Jason, who’s the chosen one to save the world, contributed to defeating Black Mirror, ending Damian’s evil goals and defeating Cantar Scorn, and same goes with Isobel, Ryan, Dabi, Dana and Van Dine.

What did She Do?

Like I said before, she contributed to saving the earth with her friends, but she also does have some solo stand outs too. The biggest one I see here is taming Kaion from Camilla after Isobel and her mechanimal, Tero won the battle. This is especially important because Kaion, and Kaion’s father, Wing Lion, were the main material that could make Damian succeed in his evil goals. And Isobel would’ve been more admirable for taming Kaion if it weren’t for Dabi and Dana’s mindless decision to later secretly take Kaion out and personally use him in the battle against Camilla which they’ve lost the battle and Camilla got Kaion back again.

Preventing Qualities

She can be a bit too harsh on others for petty reasons. When Rocky formally addressed her in an adoring tone, she grabbed him by his ankles out of anger. She also got frustrated at June for simply not answering her question immediately, although Jason did calm her down, I think.

Overall Decision

Yeah, I think she qualifies.
