Kono Dio Da
After Ib and The Witch's House, now it's Mad Father.
What's the Work?
Mad Father is a 2012 RPG Maker (Wolf RPG Editor) horror game developed by Sen. The game follows Aya Drevis, an 11-year-old girl living in northern Germany with her father, Alfred, and his assistant, Maria. On the night before the anniversary of her mother's death, Aya wakes up to find her home surrounded by terrifying creatures—victims of her father's gruesome experiments. As she explores the mansion, she uncovers dark secrets about her family, including her father's sinister plans to turn her into a doll. This proposal would focus on the true ending of the remake with the player collecting all the gems.
Who is he?
He is a major character in Mad Father and the main protagonist of IF scenario. He is one of the subjects who was revived by Monika Drevis, the wife of the scientist killing him. He is assigned by Monika to protect Aya and help her escape from the mansion.
What has he done and what Makes he Close to Pure Good?
- He is the opposite of Dio, the name fans gave him. He is a kind and gentle boy and is the only character who doesn't have any corrupting qualities unlike the rest of the characters in Mad Father. Even Ogre himself describes he is a virtuous human.
- He sympathizes with Aya after her mother's death and considers her as a younger sister in his flashback scene.
- Attempting to guide Aya to safety after she encounters the monstrous zombies in their first meeting.
- After Aya passed out for being strangled by the priest, he brings her to a safe place and comforts her.
- He covered his wound so he wouldn't scare Aya again.
- Try to get her out of the mansion and warn her of the dangers if she continues to want to save Alfred.
- He kills Alfred in the nick of time, preventing him from killing Aya and Maria. Though he doesn't display remorse, it isn't corrupting since Alfred deserves it.
- He asked Maria about Aya's condition after she fainted at the chapel.
- He forgives Maria when she mistook him for an attacker and killed him.
- He disgusts Ogre's sadistic pleasure of observing deranged humans.
- He warned Maria to be careful of Ogre.
- He's fully aware of what he is doing and does it out of respect and gratitude to Monika, who revived him.
- He doesn't deny Monika's evil nature but points out that at least she truly loves Aya.
- Apologizing Aya for scaring her in their first encounter and telling her to not forget the people who sacrificed there.
- Setting the mansion on fire, preventing anyone from finding Alfred's experiments and continuing his works.
- He wished Aya to be smiled upon and kissed her forehead as a goodbye.
- He replies to the doll in Aya's room that he accepts being alone because he does not want to get in their way and refuses to believe that Aya will follow in her father's footsteps.
- He promises to stop the fallen Aya.
- He says good night to the doll before leaving.
- According to the creator Sen, he becomes a detective and is in charge of many cases involving Aya.
- He rejects Aya's twisted perspective on killing people.
Admirable Standards
Mad Father has low admirable standards so he stands out for being the only incorruptable character, saving Aya and Maria and putting an end to Alfred's legacy.
What Prevents him From Being Pure Good?
- As Monika's enforcer, he is given magic as he can summon fire to burn the mansion in the ending. This makes him fail the admirable standards to Aya, a normal girl who has freed many of her father's victim souls, saved Maria and ended the curse on the mansion with fewer resources than he has. His actions as a detective do not count since they happen completely offscreen.
Verdict?
I personally think he has a chance to be PG but I'll let you decide.
