Yeah I am proposing Rhinox here as his USA Counterpart got too many corrupting factors since he didn’t show any remorse for his crimes in Beast Machines but his Japanese counterpart is different here.
What’s The Work?
The Japanese Generation G1 continuity is continuation of the Generation One continuity where various Manga, Anime like Headmasters, Master-Force, Victory, Zone, Story pages, online manga, toy-bios, Beast Wars, Beast Wars II & Neo and more that originally bagin as an Japanese Dub of the USA G1 Cartoon.
Who Is He?
Rhinoix is one of the main protagonists of the Beast Wars Cartoon who is an membet of Optimus Primal’s crew to stop Predacons and later became Tankor in Beast Machines.
However unlike his USA version he has an much better end where he felt remorse for his actions and reforms in the Legends Manga and reunites with his friends
What Makes Him Close to Pure Good?
Admirable Standard
While the Japanese Generation One has an high admirable standard since the G1 Cartoon, Movie, Scramble City, Headmasters, Masterforce, Victory, Zone, Beast Wars, Beast Wars II & Neo and many other Manga tie-ins but since the original Beast Wars Cartoon is canon plus some extra acts of heroism he should be able to stand out here despite having to compete with more characters now from Beast Wars II & Neo like Lio Convoy, Big Convoy and Lio Junior but he still has his means to stand out.
Admirable Acts?
He pretty much does the same heroic acts from the original Beast Wars Cartoon like his USA Counterpart in helping Optimus Primal and the Maximal dealing with Megatron and the Predacons’ acts since the Beast Wars Cartoon is canon to this version of Rhonix since it originally started as a dub of the Cartoon meaning all of his USA Counterpart’s heroic actions can be applied to this version as well.
He also has done some extra acts in Manga Tie-Ins like in some random part during Beast Wars in the Cloud Manga where the Beast Wars characters got pulled into the Cloud World, he would help the Maximals and the Cloud World Autobots against the Predacons and he & the other Maximals would protected the native world’s wild life from an energon fire long enough for SARA (an AI) to make it harmless. Later on he plays a supporting role in helping dimensionally displaced Autobots from the Bayverse films against the Predacons and the dimensionally Bayverse Decepticons.
While he does commit the same crimes as Tankor like his USA Counterpart in Beast Machines buuut unlike his that version in the Legnds Manga he redeems himself as during an conversation with Chibi Counterpart in the Legends World he felt complete remorse and regrets for his actions in Beast Machines for betraying his friends and his actions plus his redemption and acts of having his Chibi Counterpart to look forward to the future he can’t have (who also became it’s version Tankor too briefly but is another story too) saving the Legends World from Starscream possessing Waspinator who attempted to possess Metroplex defeating the Seeker before returning to post Beast Machines Cybertron reuniting with his friends once his Chibi counterpart rebuilt his body.
There is also fact his crimes as Tankor nowhere passes the heinous standard of the Japanese Generation One Continuity due to attempted planetary destruction being too common of an crime for his actions in Beast Machines to be too hurtful at all and him feeling remorse for them plus his extra acts in his redemption in the Legends Manga are enough to nullify his crimes from Beast Machines to not drop down to IA like his USA Counterpart.
What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?
The Japanese Generation One Continuity has an more higher admirable standard than the USA Continuity since he now needs to compete with Beast Wars II and Neo characters the like the likes of Lio Convoy, Big Convoy, and Lio Junior or some Decepticons like Sixshot to name the few but his original acts plus extra ones allow him to stand out enough to be an Minor Insufficient Near Pure Good however so he only slightly fails the in-story standards.
And since him temporarily being a villain in Beast Machines as despite redeeming himself in Legends and loosing those corrupting traits enough, it means he can still be Prone To Corruption somewhat but since he fully felt remorse and made up for his actions thanks to his extra acts to nullify them it is a minor prevention at best since he fully redeems himself so he ISN'T a Fallen Hero anymore since the rules say "Unless They End Up Redeeming Themselves" and he has made up for his actions in Beast Machines enough too.
Verdict
A big yes since he originally came from the Japanese Dub of Beast Wars it means he done the same heroic actions as his USA version and many extra ones in the Manga tie-ins in the continuity and him felt complete remorse and regrets during his redemption in the Legends Manga for betraying his friends and his crimes from Beast Machines unlike his USA Counterpart that wasn’t explored and his actions in Legends are enough to nullify his crimes plus heinous standard of the Japanese G1 Continuity more higher since attempted planetary destruction is a commonplace making it not hurting too but since it also has a higher admirable standards he slightly fails in story standards due to now competing with more characters and his villainy as Tankor mean he can be prone to corruption but his redemption in Legends Manga where he shown remorse and regret while making up for those actions make it a minor prevention at best.
