Yeah I know why I am proposing Asuka Langley Sohryu of all people but this version has qualities to be one unlike her official versions hear me out.

Transformers Evangelion is an crossover fanfic by Haddad062 between Transformers and Neon Genesis Evangelion seemly inspired ofd of the official Transformers x Evangelion crossover by Takara-Tommy with the tie-in story Transformers Mode: EVA. The fanfic features Optimus Prime having an fatherly relationship with Shinji Ikari while dealing with the Angels, Gendo Ikari and SELE, and the Decepticons after Optimus got teleported to Earth through an accident during an fight with Galvatron.

Asuka Langley Sohryu is one of the deuteragonists alongside Rei Ayanami and Grimlock in the Transformers Evangelion where she is based on the Neon Genesis Evangelion character of the same name who is a pilot of Evangelion Unit-02
What Make her Close to Pure Good?
Admirable Standards
The Admirable Standards are slightly higher since she would need to compete with Shinji and Rei though the Autobots are unfair comparisons however here.
And unlike her canon self she wasn't put into an comma thanks to her mental state being more stable than her canon self so meaning she has more admirable acts of heroism under her belt and Rei ended up being put out of commission in the story in her place for most of it to note so Rei has less admirable acts than her canon self allowing less competition for her as a result.
Admirable Acts
Since the story takes place within the original Anime and mostly played out the same until Shinji's fight with Arael remained about the same thanks to enough context within the story so her original counterpart's actions can be applied to her too.
She would play a role in taking down Starscream attacking Tokyo-03 where she managed to take on the Decepticon Seeker defeating him in combat and later took on the Beast Machine (An Evangelion-Angel Hybrid of Cheetor) trying to protect her friends before being taken out of the fight.
Like her canon self she took in the Mass Production Evangelion Units when events similar to the End of Evangelion happened where everyone attempted to protect NERV HQ from SEELE though Roadbuster and Whirl did give her a helping hand but she still mostly did it by herself before the two Autobots joined in to help out.
At the end of the story she would play a supporting role in taking down Galvatron (A Pure Evil) though she failed earlier but once the Third Impact got foiled she and Shinji manage to weaken the Decepticon leader to allow Optimus Prime to finish him off. Because Rei got put out of commission in the story for most of it so it allow Asuka to be more admirable than her as a result.
Unlike her canon self her corrupting qualities are much less severe since she subverts most of them as she even apologized to Rei for her behavior towards her.
What Prevents her from being Pure Good?
She still got her canon self's jerkish and arrogant corrupting qualities while also prone to reckless decisions but they are way less severe for this version since she subverts most of it in the story by the final chapter enough to be NPG. In the final chapter she even apologized to Rei Anyami for her behavior to her not entirely enough to make her PG. Plus most of her jerkish moments were towards villains like SEELE or Galvatron while any towards heroic characters are too minimum to drop her down to an IA.
She also slightly fails the fanfic's in-story standards to Shinji Ikari himself as he was able to do more with his Evangelion Unit and stand up to Galvatron a Pure Evil but her original counterpart's actions and extra actions in the story allow her to stand out enough to be a minor Insufficient Near Pure Good.
Verdict
A mid yes as her acts shared with her canon self and original story like dealing with Starscream and the Mass Production Evangelion Units as well as her major supporting roles against the Beast Machine and Galvatron allows her to stand out unlike her canon self. She also looses most of her canon self’s major corrupting qualities by the end of the story even apologizing to Rei for her rude behavior to her. Since Rei was put out commission in her place for most of the story so she got a little less competition as a result.
However she still got her original counterpart's original jerkish, arrogant and reckless corruptions but they are much less severe however since she subverts most of them enough to be Near Pure Good and slightly fails the in-story standards to Shinji Ikari himself who did more with same resources but her original counterpart's actions and the extra ones she did in the story is enough to allow her to stand out Minor Insufficient Admirable enough however.
