Tyreese Williams is a major protagonist in AMC's The Walking Dead. He is the older brother of Sasha Williams and after the fall of the prison, the protector of Judith Grimes for a period of time. He is a kindhearted and gentle man with strong morals and a heavy pacifist.
He is portrayed by Chad Coleman.

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]
Season 3[]
- He helps his group get into the prison and fight some walkers.
- He stops Allen from attacking Beth and Axel with the shovels and tries to convince him to help.
- He refuses to help Allen with the walker pit, seeing they're used for people.
- He doesn't participate in the war between Woodbury and the Prison and instead stays to protect the children.
Season 4[]
- He goes with Sasha and Daryl to the store to get some supplies.
- He stops Daryl from beating up Bob when he threatens him.
- He helps Rick protect the prison when The Governor attacks it.
- He saves baby Judith when she is left outside during the war.
- He protects Lizzie Mika and Judith while they are wandering in the woods.
- He stops Lizzie from killing Judith after she kills Mika.
- After Carol executes Lizzie and confesses to Tyreese she killed his lover Karen, giving him an option to kill her as well, he refuses to and forgives her for the act, despite his anger.
- He saves Judith once more when Martin threatens to break her neck. He also spares him too when he beats him.
Season 5[]
- He watches Judith when Rick goes to look for some supplies.
- He refuses to participate in the terminus massacre and instead watches over Judith and Carl while they're at it.
- He puts Bob down when he gets bit, sparing Sasha from having to do it.
- Even after everything that terminus did, he still gives them all a proper burial.
- He convinces the group to get Beth back in a nonviolent way.
- He helps Noah get to his neighborhood and comforts him when he finds out they are dead, which later leads to his death as he got distracted.
What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]
- He has a temper as seen when he attacked Rick after finding Karen dead and almost killed Allen when they got into a fight,. However they never escalate from just fights and he always apologizes for his outburst so it's a minor prevention.
Trivia[]
- His comic counterpart doesn't qualify, as he is far more wrathful, violent and rude than his TV counterpart.
