Mamoru Chiba, also known as Tuxedo Mask, is the main male character in the anime series Sailor Moon. He is the prince of Earth, and the lover of Usagi Tsukino.
In the Japanese version, Mamoru was voiced by Tōru Furuya in the original 90s anime.

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]
- Although at first he behaved like a jerk towards Usagi, later he lost these qualities, and became exceptionally kind to everyone.
- After becoming a Tuxedo Mask, he constantly helped Sailor Scout in the fight against demons, appearing at the last moment and immobilizing the enemy until Sailor Scouts defeated him.
- He was outraged when Rei was obsessed with many professions just for the glory of wealth.
- Over time, he began to be genuinely in love with Usagi.
- Even as a brainwashed villain (working for the Dark Kingdom), he still had a strict code of honor, and therefore objected when his unwitting allies used dishonest tricks, and even then saved the Sailor Scouts.
- Recovering at the last moment, he refused to kill Usagi, and even saved her by taking Queen Beryl's blow on himself.
- He also began to genuinely care about Sailor Chibi Moon.
- Although he initially intended to break off his relationship with Usagi, he did it only because he thought it would lead to a better future, and in the end he stayed with her anyway.
- He began to actively help the Sailor Scouts in the fight against villains threatening the whole world, such as the Black Moon Clan, Death Busters, Dead Moon Circus and Shadow Galactica.
- In general, despite the fact that, unlike Sailor Scouts, he does not possess magical abilities, he is competent enough to resist evil sorcerers no less worthily than they are.
What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]
- Although he has no corrupting qualities, he still falls a little short of the admirable standards of the Sailor Scouts, who had a much greater impact on saving the world than he did.
