Timon is a major character in Disney's The Lion King franchise.
He is an anthropomorphic meerkat who adopted Simba when he ran from the Pride Lands and raised him and became one of his best friends (alongside Pumbaa).
He was voiced by Nathan Lane in the films and Kevin Schon in The Lion Guard.

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]
- He and Pumbaa saved Simba from vultures and revived him with water.
- He and Pumbaa raised Simba all on their own.
- He tried to protect Pumbaa from Nala who tried to eat him and realized that Nala wasn't bad at all and became friends with her.
- Although he initially tried to keep Simba and Nala from falling in love, he later accepted their relationship.
- Although he initially did not want to go with Pumbaa to help Simba reclaim the Pride Lands, he eventually followed him after being convinced by Rafiki.
- He and Pumbaa create a distraction for the hyenas, allowing Simba and Nala to sneak pass by.
- He and Pumbaa help Simba fight off the hyenas.
- He and Pumbaa stall the hyenas while Ma and Uncle Max build a trap for the hyenas. Timon also does a fake proposal to Shenzi in order to stall them longer.
- He saves Pumbaa, Ma, and Uncle Max from the hyenas by breaking the last stick, making them fall down a hole.
- He saved the meerkat colony by bringing them to live in the jungle oasis, making them safe from hyenas and danger.
- He and Pumbaa watch over Kiara under Simba's orders.
- He, along with Pumbaa and Kiara help Simba back to the Pride Lands after being ambushed by Zira and her army of lions.
- He saved Pumbaa from the outsiders by aiming his tail at them, scaring them away.

What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]
- He is slightly jerkish and arrogant. However, he's hugely subverted this, so it's only a minor prevention.
- When he, Simba, and Pumbaa were stargazing, Simba said that someone once told him (referring to his late father Mufasa) that The Great Kings of the Past are watching him, Timon and Pumbaa laughed at his statement and Timon said "What mook made that up?", unintentionally hurting Simba's feelings and insulting his father, but he does show remorse for this, making it a minor prevention.
- He had a tendency to steal some of his friend Pumbaa's ideas, such as raising Simba as their own, and having Kovu help clear out the birds from eating their bugs.
- He can be lazy as he is shown to detest work and would rather relax.
Trivia[]
- He was at first approved as Inconsistently Admirable because it was thought he had too many corrupting factors, but it was found out that he subverted them and was approved Near Pure Good.
- His TV Show counterpart can't qualify as he is too jerkish, selfish, and destructive to be NPG.
