Thunder is the main protagonist of Turma da Mata: Muralha (which would translate to Jungle Gang: Wall), Mauricio de Sousa Studios's ninth Graphic MSP, loosely based in Lionel's Kingdom, one of the recurring secondary strips of the Monica's Gang comic book franchise.
He is the son of the leader of the rebellion, and part of the race of the Great Green Warrior Elephants. When he was looking for one of his father's lost weapons, he was accidentally captured by King Lionel I, who was looking for more slaves. During his conflict to get his sone back, both Thunder's father and Lionel fell off the Nau to their deaths. Thunder grew up in the empire, but when a spying ant named Rita crossed ways with him, he got the chance to meet his childhood friends, now adults, composing the current formation of the Resistance.
His Good Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]
- He tried to get his father's lost weapon back to him.
- When his friend, Zig Zag, pushed him off the range of a trap and got captured instead, he used his father's weapon to free him, despite he himself being captured in the process.
- During all the years he lived in the Empire (just not being killed because Weasel thought his elephant memory could be useful) he tried to be friendly with the guards and everybody, though they bullied him instead of retributing his gentleness.
- Saved an ant he barely knew, named Rita, despite knowing that could get him in trouble.
- While he did yet the guard that was trying to smash Rita far away, it was accidental, and because of his exaggerated strength.
- He joined back the resistance when meeting them.
- Tried to be friendly with Zig Zag, even after he yells aggressively at him for making his father being killed and he himself being captured, which was basically the loss of his godfather and best friend, and led the whole village to look down on him because they blamed him for it.
- Tried to get Tin Turtle's armor off the bunnies as it was no toy.
- He played with Zig Zag's children, until one of them got hurt.
- He agreed that letting the redeemed Lionel II be restituted, to then end the war was the best idea.
- While he wanted to give up in the mission, Rita motivated him, by saying every single ant in an anthill did their part, without thinking if they were making a big difference or no.
- When he got back at the war room, he made everybody stop fighting and work together.
- Used his knowledge of the guard's schedule to infiltrate the palace.
- He fought against many monkeys in the final battle.
- Despite everything, he tried to redeem the depraved Weasel, though it had no effect.
- Defeated Weasel by destroying his armor when he thought Rita was killed.
- After being launched by Tin Turtle's catapult, he used his father's weapon to pierces and destroy the Naus that were setting the forest in fire, one by one, saving the lives of thousands, potentially millions of lives.
- Contrary to what others expected, he survived the fall after saving the jungle, and was excited to bring down the Empire's wall.
- Lacks the jerkiness, slothness and unloyalty, sometimes present at his original counterpart, only replying angrily or being what could be considered jerkish when it was understandable and justified.
What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]
- After he thinks Weasel killed Ant Rita, he defeats him by destroying his armor, but when he is defenseless in the ground, he keeps beating him to a pulp, with the intent of killing him, only stopping when Rita, revealed to have survived, asked him to, making him minor lethal.
Trivia[]
- He is the only Graphic MSP character to be Near Pure Good.
- His original counterpart doesn't count as Near Pure Good, as despite his corrupting factors being minor, he is way more standard, and the admirable standards are higher in the original comics.
