Walk free.
~ Takkar.

Takkar (also known as The Beast Master) is the main playable protagonist in the 2016 game, Far Cry Primal.

He was a Wenja tribesman who located the secret land of Oros, the safe haven of the Wenjas. However, his land and his people came into danger when they were attacked by the "Udams", a barbaric man-eating tribe commanded by Ull, and the Izilas (also known as "the sunwalkers" or "the masters of fire) who enslaved and sacrificed Wenjas for the sun. Takkar must learn to overcome these threats, and rise into the new leader of his tribe.

He was voiced by Elias Toufexis.

His Good Ranking[]

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]

In General[]

  • Although he kills many enemy warriors throughout history, this is mostly justified by self-defense, not to mention that the actions take place in an era of savagery and violence, and even despite this, Takkar is not too cruel, and is even able to show compassion to his enemies.
  • He is a noble warrior and leader who cares very much about his people, and his main goal is to protect them at all costs from various dangers, in particular from the ogre tribe Udams.
  • He often showed kindness to animals, even predatory ones, and tamed them, as well as stroked and treated them for various injuries.

Far Cry Primal[]

  • He was saddened by the death of his fellow hunters, including Dalso, and after burying the latter, he went to look for Urus and their lost brothers, which Dalso asked him to do before his death.
  • In one of the caves, he meets with Seila and helps her fight off the dangerous saber-toothed tiger Blood Fang. In gratitude for the help, Sayla takes Takkar to her cave on the outskirts of Oros and shares her food with him.
  • After learning that the bloodthirsty Udam tribe, led by Ull, brutally exterminates the Vinja tribe, he realizes that he has to fight for his survival, as well as for the salvation of his people.
  • He notices the bleeding wounds on Sayla's shoulder, and goes in search of plants to treat her wounds, and eventually finds them and heals Seila.
  • He began to develop the village and its population, and began with the construction of the Sayla hut.
  • He finds Tinsei, Vuga, Karusha, Jaima, and asks them all to move to Vinja village to confront the Udam tribe. However, in order to believe Takkar, they all demand to complete certain tasks, and Takkar fulfilled them all.
  • He repels the attack of the Udam when they attacked the village of his tribe.
  • He reached the Shelter of the Torn Flesh, the Udam camp, and there he killed all the enemy warriors, thereby instilling fear in their tribe.
  • He was saddened by the death of the members of his tribe, and promised Sayle to kill Ull to avenge them.
  • He went in search of a missing Vinja hunter to help him, and after finding him, Takkar gives him medicinal plants to cure him, and also saves him from predatory animals.
  • On Sayla's instructions, he goes to Northern Urus to get a rare yellow northern leaf for an antidote to putrefactive poison, and as a result, he finds them and brings them to Sayla, before getting out of captivity of the Udam.
  • He manages to capture the main forts of the Izila and Udam tribes — the Fort of Fire creek and the Fort of Big Darva, and capture their leaders — Daa and Rushani. Rushani, in exchange for his life, gives out the secrets of the Izila tribe, and Daa agrees to cooperate only under pressure from Takara.
  • He showed kindness to Dah, a Udam warrior who helped him create sting bombs, and in return, Takkar saved Dah from execution at the hands of Vangi.
  • After meeting with the leader of the Izila tribe, Batari, he refused to join her tribe, for which he was thrown into a deep burning pit. He miraculously escapes by finding a way out.
  • He killed Batari and her entire Izila tribe, thereby preventing their massacres and arson throughout Oros.
  • He defeated Ullah and his Udam tribe, thereby preventing their massacres and cannibalism.
  • Also, despite his resentment of Ullah, he showed compassion to him when he saw that he sincerely cared for his children, and after his death, Thakkar vowed to raise and protect his children.

What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]

  • He killed Batari by burning her alive on the altar, because she had killed many members of his tribe in the same way. Although she certainly deserved it because of her heartless actions, and Takkar needed to kill her anyway, it was his only cruel and wrathful moment.
