Takeda Takahashi is a major character in the Mortal Kombat franchise, serving as the deuteragonist of the Mortal Kombat X comics, one of the main protagonists of Mortal Kombat X and a DLC character in Mortal Kombat 1. He is the son of Kenshi Takahashi and the protege of Hanzo Hasashi. After becoming Chujin of the Shirai Ryu and making amends with his father, he later joins the special forces and gets into a relationship with Jacqui Briggs.

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]
- He saves Scorpion and kills White Fox.
- He tries to help Scorpion and get through to a possessed Raiden.
- He frees Shujinko and the other Wu Shi members when they get possessed by Havik.
- Despite his impossible odds of winning and even knowing it, he still fights Havik and the other possessed heroes to try to stop him.
- He steals Shinnok's amulet and frees people from Havik's possession, which includes Raiden, Sonya Blade, Johnny Cage, Kotal Kahn, Jacqui Briggs, Mileena, Cassie Cage, and a few nameless innocents.
- He helps Scorpion take down Havik and end's his plan to plunge the realms into chaos.
- He buries the dead Shirai Ryu from White Fox's massacre and helps him reform the clan.
- He forgives his father for leaving him when he was a kid.
- He joins the special forces and is usually the voice of reason and tries to avoid unnecessary violence.
- He saves the Jacqui, Kung Jin and Cassie when they are imprisoned from Kotal Kahn and also spares the guard that was feeding them.
- He saves Kung Jin when he was about to be killed by Erron Black.
- He and Jacqui distracts the Revenants long enough for Cassie and Kung Jin to sneak into the sky temple.
- While he was pretty lethal in the comics and was understandably jerkish to his father, he seems to subvert both of these by the game.
What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]
- Even with his low resources, he slightly fails the admirable standard of the series.
- in Liu Kang's Timeline, his family name is part of a crime syndicate and he did some work for the Yakuza before disowning both.
- He also turned down Liu Kang's offer to become one of his champions to defend Earthrealm due to his personal objectives.
- He can be petty, arrogant, and jerkish to those around him, including to his own clan and family.
Trivia[]
- He is the second MK NPG to come from the alternate timeline, after Cassie Cage.
