Sunburst is a supporting character in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. He is the childhood friend of Starlight Glimmer and a royal crystaller of Flurry Heart. Later in the show he becomes the vice principal of the school of friendship. He is an important ally to the Mane 6, as he was able to restore the Crystal Heart back to its normal state and, with the help of Twilight and Starlight, was able to bring back the Pillars.
He was voiced by Ian Hanlin.

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]
- In his childhood, he saved Starlight from being crushed by falling books.
- He and Starlight helped Twilight and her friends restore the Crystal Heart and saved the Crystal Empire with Flurry Heart's "Crystalling".
- Cheering up Starlight by building a life-sized version of Dragon Pit.
- Helped the Mane 6 free the Pillars from Limbo and returning them to Equestria.
- Saved Equestria from the Pony of Shadows and releasing Stygian from darkness with the Pillars, the Mane 6 and Starlight.
- Reconciled with his mother, Stellar Flare.
- Searching for Silverstream in the Everfree Forest.
- Apologized to Twilight for tricking her into getting disqualified from Trivia Trot.
- Helping the Mane Six defeat the Legion of Doom, saving all of Equestria in the process.
What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]
- Fails the admirable standards of the Mane 6 and Starlight Glimmer, his childhood friend.
- Lashing out at his mother for frustrating him continuously, though a bit reasonable.
- Shown to be arrogant and confident of having the correct answers, even if it means tricking Twilight into getting disqualified just to preserve it.
