Stitch, also known as Experiment 626, is one of the two titular protagonists of the Lilo & Stitch franchise.
He is the 626th evil experiment by the evil doctor Jumba Jookiba, in his long list of genetic experiments to create evil creatures and cause mayhem with them. After being sentenced to absolute isolation, Stitch escaped and went to Planet Earth, though he ended up in Hawaii, an island surrounded by water, something he is too dense to swim in. After being mistaken by a dog and adopted by a Hawaiian girl named Lilo, however, he redeemed himself, and became part of her "Ohana" (family). After that, they lived many adventures in Hawaii, specially involving defeating and redeeming all 625 other experiments by Joomba, or his "cousins", and prevent them from causing mayhem in Hawaii.
He was played by Chris Sanders, also co-director of the film and actor of Leroy.
His Good Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]
- He redeemed himself by becoming a part of Lilo's Ohana.
- He saved Lilo from Gantu.
- He saved Gantu when he fell in the sea, even though he was his enemy.
- He accepted the fate of being sent to a distant planet peacefully, as long as he could give a final goodbye to his Ohana.
- When he realized something was wrong with him, he tried to isolate himself so he wouldn't hurt anyone with his glitch.
- Does several kind actions so Lilo will see he is still good.
- Constantly defended Lilo from Mertle's bullying.
- He helped Lilo stop 221's (later named Sparky) mayhem in Kauai when he was released.
- He helps save himself, Lilo, and Sparky from Hämsterviel's ship.
- He helped Lilo redeem all the experiments.
- While he didn't do the same with Experiment 627, he's way far from redemption compared to his older cousins, and had to be stopped anyway.
- He stopped Gantu and Ruben from getting the experiments to work for Hämsterviel.
- Some of the experiments are extremely dangerous (such as Holio, who can create a black hole, and Launch, who can break space-time) and Stitch helps Lilo by neutralizing the threat they represent so that she can redeem them.
- He protected Kauai against hundreds of Jumba's experiments. While he starts off at odds with them due to them wreaking havoc, i.e. Richter, Yin, Yang, and Sprout; rivalries or jealousies, i.e. Kixx, Mr. Stenchy, and Finder; harming his loved ones, i.e. Spooky, Phantasmo, and Ploot; and/or annoying him, i.e. Heckler, Samples, and PJ, Stitch genuinely loves his cousins and is protective of them when defending them from Gantu's capture.
- After he and Lilo found a place for all the experiments, Stitch got a chance to become Commander of the Galactic Army, but he declined when he saw that Lilo wanted him to stay in Hawaii, only accepting when Lilo empathetically said that there was no problem, and he could go anyway.
- Although it was short lived, he did try to do a good job as Commander of the Galactic Army.
- He tried to stop Leroy after he was created by Hämsterviel and Joomba, and almost succeeded.
- He helped Jumba, Pleakley and himself escape from a black hole with Lilo's rock.
- Back on Earth, he commanded the battle between Jumba's 625 past experiments and the army of Leroy.
- When Jumba revealed, he put an auto-destruct mechanism in Leroy that would be activated if he heard a certain Elvis Presley music, and he used it, along with Lilo and Ruben, to destroy the army of Leroys, saving the galaxy from Hämsterviel.
- Despite being his arch-rival, he accepts Gantu's redemption.
What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]
- He can show himself to be jerkish sometimes and more often mischievous, even if it is a lot less than when he was first created.
- He once mistreated Mr. Stenchy, though he chose to lock him in the pantry instead of causing him personal harm. However, he does feel remorse for this course of action.
Trivia[]
- He is the only Lilo & Stitch Near Pure Good.
- There was a deleted scene where he accidentally, though remorselessly, killed Pudge, Lilo's friendly fish, and Lilo angrily scolded him for it. If it was included, it's unknown if this would affect his status, as he could've still matured in later installments, but it was still very dark.
