What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Good?[]
- While she used to be a villain who enslaved a village and nearly destroyed Equestria to get revenge on Twilight and her friends, she had good intentions, wanting to help ponies understand equality and didn't know that her actions with the time scroll would end up destroying Equestria. Later, she gave up her vengeance desire and reformed herself after Twilight convinced her.
- Willing to accept her punishment that Twilight and her friends will gave her.
- Rekindles her friendship with Sunburst.
- She and Sunburst helped Twilight and her friends save Crystal Empire from an eternal winter.
- Had a right thing to be mad at Twilight for not letting her befriend with Trixie due to their past and that she already gave her another chance after she freed her from an Alicorn Amulet.
- Though she became upset after learning that Trixie was only using her to one-up Twilight, she later helps Trixie in her magic show and make amends with her after saving her from being eaten by a Manticore.
- Begins to appreciate Hearth's Warming after listening to "A Hearth's Warming Tale".
- Helping Twilight reactivate the cutie map.
- She, alongside the others, giving Thorax another chance.
- Apologizes to Twilight's friends for using magic on them and promises to take the friendship lesson seriously.
- Convinced Thorax to share his love to Queen Chrysalis, which redeeming the entire Changelings as a result.

What Prevents Her From Being Pure Good?[]
- She has a few jerk moments, such as using a mind-control on Twilight's friends in order to avoid the friendship lesson, and acting hostile towards Applejack after she and Rarity encounter mean Applejack.
- She makes reckless actions without asking, such as putting a spell on the Mane 5, putting a spell on Celestia and Luna, and trading Trixie’s wagon away when it wasn’t her decision to begin with.
- She doesn't intervene during a parent-teacher conference when she witnesses Grandpa Gruff insulting Gallus and Trixie, and stating he doesn't care about the former's education. When Trixie calls him out for this, Starlight reprimands her for doing so and says it's one reason she shouldn't be vice headmare. Though she says later she's glad Trixie cares about her students, she still acted like Trixie was mainly at fault when it was Grandpa Gruff who started the argument.
