Sox is the tritagonist of Pixar's 2022 animated feature film Lightyear, a reimagination of the character Buzz Lightyear, from the Toy Story franchise.

He is a robotic cat created by Alisha Hawthrone to be an emotional support for her best friend, Buzz Lightyear, as he was obsessed with getting the population off T'Kani Prime, a planet he himself got them stuck in there. Sox does so, even if that meant helping him with his goals, and eventually help Buzz stop a threat in T'Kani Prime when they got themselves 22 years in the future.

He was voiced by Peter Sohn.

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?

• Constantly offers Buzz the emotional support he needs, even if he usually refuses.
• He always keeps himself calm with Buzz rejecting his attempts to make him happier, never getting angry with Buzz.
• When Buzz requested, saying it would make him happy, Sox created a functionong hyperspace fuel to help save everybody stuck in T'Kani Prime.
• When Buzz was being tracked down to be arrested, he darted one of the men who caught them to buy Buzz some time.
• He helped Izzy's resistance fight the Zyclops.
• During the final confrontation, he convinced Izzy to face her fears and jump in the space's void to go save Buzz.
• Helped Buzz defeat Zurg and save the entire generations born in T'Kani Prime Zurg wanted to erase.
• He became a Sapce Rangers with Buzz and their friends to help protect the innocent and complete missions.

What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?

• He has moral agency issues unlike his alternate future counterpart who can choose to make decisions for the greater good, since he was created by Alisha to help Buzz, though he shows personality.
