~ Soos to Dipper. |
“ | Well, birthdays are supposed to be spent with the people who care about you. But you know what? That dude didn't care about me enough to visit me once, let alone fight monsters through time and space like you dudes. I mean, you had a gladiator fight just to make happy! I've been ridiculous this whole time. Whoever my father was, he can take a hike. I know who my family is, now, and its you dudes! | „ |

Jesus Alzamirano "Soos" Ramirez is the tritagonist of Disney's Gravity Falls franchise.
He is a worker in Mystery Shack, a tourist trap in the titular countryside town of Gravity Falls, being extremely loyal to its runner, “Stanford” Pines/Mr. Mystery. When Stan's great-niece and nephew come to spend the summer with him, Soos accompanies them throughout many of their adventures and misadventures while undercovering the mysteries of Gravity Falls.
He was voiced by series creator Alex Hirsch.
His Good Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]
In General[]
- Soos is usually selfless, honorable and friendly, always trying to help those around him.
- Although he can be considered incompetent, he is shown to be very handy and this usually overshadows his stupidity, and as shown in "Land Before Swine", he always tries to fix things he messed up.
- Despite technically aiding in Stan's "crimes", everything he is seen helping with is making the attractions, which isn't a crime.
- Despite the high admirable standard, he passes it by trying to protect the universe by deactivating Stan's portal along with Dipper and Mabel.
Season 1[]
- He was the only one to believe in Dipper about the Zombie.
- He gave Dipper a weapon to defend himself.
- He helped Mabel and Dipper look for the Gobblewonker with his boat.
- He helped save the twin's lives with his boat from the Gobblewonker.
- He helped Dipper catch up with Rumble McSkirmish, giving him a ride to where Rumble was.
- He tried to convince Dipper to not fight against Rumble McSkirmish for his own safety.
- He tried to help Dipper defeat Rumble by messing up his HP bar.
- He tried to discourage Mabel and Dipper from teasing Dipper over being 1 millimeter shorter than his sister, though they mistook it for making fun of him as well, though this genuinely wasn't Soos' intention.
- He helped save Dipper and Mabel from Gideon.
- He helped Dipper, Mabel, Candy and Grenda get the candy so they won't be eaten by the Summerween Trickster.
- He ate the Summerween Trickster, saving a child that was inside him, and ending the possible future deaths of children who disrespected cheap and bad candy.
- He told stories with Dipper, Mabel and Stan to make time flow faster in the bottomless pit.
- When he believed rubber ducks from the pool were living, he tried to free them.
- He helped Mabel look for Waddles when he was kidnapped by a dinosaur.
- He atoned with Dipper after their fight over him messing up the dinosaur's photos.
- He saved Dipper, Mabel, Stan and Waddles from a dinosaur.
- He and Mabel warned Dipper about Gideon's plan of invoking Bill Cipher.
- He entered Stan's mind to prevent Bill from messing it up and stealing the scripture of the Shack, alongside Dipper and Mabel.
- In their first confrontation, Soos used an interrogation shaped laser beam to help fight against Bill.
- He had all the now homeless Pines stay at his grandma's house.
- He tried to save Dipper and Mabel from Gideon's bot by driving them away from him as the bus driver.
Season 2[]
- He tried to defend Dipper and Mabel from the zombies before becoming one of them.
- Since he was a zombie, his attempted murder and cannibalism aren't corrupting as he had no control over himself and should not be blamed.
- He helped enter the author's secret banker in order to find information about the author.
- He warned Mabel that Dipper and Wendy were probably in real danger.
- He and Mabel defeated the Shapeshifter by locking and freezing him.
- He defeated .GIFfany, saving Dipper, Mabel, Melony and other potential future boyfriends from her.
- He helped take down the Society of the Blind Eye.
- When McGucket saved his and Dipper, Mabel and Wendy's memories from being erased, he helped fight against the society's members.
- Since Dipper and Mabel fought in an intergalactic gladiator battle to get an omnipotent wish to get him to see his father, he instead used it to cure Dipper and Mabel from their injuries, stating his father never cared enough about him to visit him, and thus, Dipper and Mabel are his family now.
- He stopped Stan from shooting a hot air balloon.
- When Dipper and Mabel made him see that Stan could be dangerous, he decided to go against Stan and protect the kids.
- Despite Stan's interference, he tried to help Dipper and Mabel deactivate his potentially universe-ending machine.
- After Bill started Weirdmaggedon, Soos became a wanderer who helped everybody he could find.
- He helped Wendy stand up after her truck crashed.
- He helped Dipper and Wendy try to convince Mabel to abandon Mabeland.
- While he wanted to play a single catch game with his father, as soon as they got away, he helped them escape Mabeland, so he never forgot about their responsibility towards Weirdmaggedon, but rather wanted to play just one catch game with the father he never had.
- He taught McGucket about anime to help him build Shacktron.
- He participated in the Zodiac in a final attempt to stop Bill.
- He gave Dipper and Mabel their 13th birthday gifts.
- After making a speech, he convinced Stan not to close the Mystery Shack, and, to his surprise and happiness, was chosen as the new Mr. Mystery, Stanley's successor.
- He signed Dipper and Mabel's fond letter of "see you next Summer", alongside the rest of their friends.
Shorts[]
- He helped Dipper investigate the weird mailbox outside of the shack.
- He helped put a bandage on Stan's eyes after Mabel accidentally burned them.
- He fixed the golf cart after Dipper and Wendy accidentally destroyed it and made it even more powerful.
- He and Mabel tried to fix a cuckoo clock that Stan broke.
- He helped Dipper, Mabel, Stan and Wendy save a mutant cow from being killed for food.
Comic[]
- He saved everyone from being stuck in the comics universe forever.
What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]
- While not exactly jerkish enough, he can sometimes be insensitive and unintentionally disrespectful to others, such as mocking Lazy Susan's eye shadow, ignoring Toby Determined being kidnapped by a Griffin, and helping Stan make potentially dangerous pranks on Stan's rivals across the state.
Trivia[]
- He was once considered Pure Good, before it was decided that some of his inconsiderate/careless moments, especially ignoring Toby while he is being kidnapped, are too corrupting for Pure Good, and then he was removed and approved here.
