Sonic the Hedgehog, simply known as Sonic and lately known as the Kaiju, is the overarching protagonist (turned antagonist) of There's Something About Knuckles, the second chapter of the “There's Something About…” animated series made by Mashed.
He was once the heroic and bright guardian of the walled city, who, with his mech suit, saved the city from an enigmatic titan and defeated the twisted Baron Robotnik countless times alongside his friends Tails, Amy, Knuckles, Cream, and Big; however, in one night, he went to Robotnik's lair to kill the titan once and for all, but he discovered a terrible truth about his nemesis. When he tried to help him, he would end up mutating and becoming a mindless and hateful monster.
He was voiced by Blake “Shadyvox” Swift.

- He originally went to Robotnik's base to kill the titan on his own, making him enter the “minor lethal” category; however, this can't be the case, considering that Sonic view the creature as a mindless monster, not to mention once he thought there was a more peaceful way of stopping the titan.
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]
In General[]
- While he is indeed impatient and teasing, he is ultimately kind-hearted, sweet, and generous with everyone around.
- He is mostly fearless and strong-willed, as he saved millions of lives with his friends, and together, they defeated Robotnik and his cruel troops of Badniks before the curse.
- He was also a fantastic leader who deeply cared about his friends; he also united and motivated them to protect their city, being this reaffirmed with the simple fact that all of his friends wanted to save him when Tails told the truth about the new Kaiju, and also:
- When Knuckles admitted his value while looking at his statue in Part 2.
- When Tails stopped Knuckles from killing the Kaiju because he was somehow inside of it in Part 3.
- When Amy immediately asked Tails why he hadn’t tried anything to save him after listening to his testimony in Part 6.
- When Knuckles went to Robotnik's base to save him, being followed by the rest of the team in the same episode.
- When Knuckles and Co. were fighting against the “Super” Kaiju, having in mind that he was inside of it in Part 7.
- When Amy desperately tried to awake him inside the creature in the same episode and Part 8.
- When he told his friends about the awful experience as a Kaiju, revealing that he could feel people dying and suffering in Part 9.
- None of the atrocities made by his dark form, the Kaiju, can be really attributed to him, as he was unconscious until Amy's interference, and he only shared a body with the monster.
There's Something About Knuckles (Part 4)[]
- He defeated the first titan (Baron Robotnik) and saved the walled city again, allowing its citizens to strengthen their defenses and creating the mechanic suits for his friends, who were also determined to fight.
- When he went to kill the titan and found Robotnik in a horrible state, he showed concern and mercy for him, and he was willing to inject him with an "anti-chaos" serum, so Baron could return to his original state.
There's Something About Knuckles (Part 5)[]
- He told Tails that they should stay to help him despite falling in Robotnik's trap.
- When Robotnik transferred him the curse of the Chaos Emeralds, he (even though he was mutating) yelled Tails to run away, which allowed him to flee in his suit.
There's Something About Knuckles (Part 8)[]
- Thanks to Amy, he finally woke up inside the Kaiju and tried to stop him until he was interrupted by Knuckles (who had a mental breakdown and took one of the emeralds to transform into a new Kaiju to finally kill the monster, doing all of this under Lovesick Amy's influence).
What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]
- Just like his mainstream counterpart, he can be arrogant and cocky, like when he was taunting Robotnik when he arrived at his base.
- He was also reckless for trying to kill the titan on his own and hypocritical for calling Eggman reckless.
- He was even willing to heal Robotnik, knowing that he was going to attack the city again.
Trivia[]
- He and his counterpart from the “Where Was My Hero?” deleted series are the only two fanon versions of Sonic the Hedgehog to be Near Pure Good.
- He is the only character from the second chapter of “There's Something About…” to be Near Pure Good so far.
