Near Pure Good Hero Wiki

We're smurfs. We do the right thing.
~ Smurfette in "Smurfs: The Lost Village"

Smurfette is one of the main protagonists of the rebooted Smurfs franchise, being the main protagonist of Smurfs: The Lost Village and one of the protagonists of Smurfs: The Series.

She is a Smurf copy created by Gargamel to infiltrate the Smurf Village and bring about their doom but was redeemed by Papa Smurf and adopted by him and the Smurf Village as part of them. While she struggled with her identity, not having a defined trait like the rest of the Smurfs, her journey along with her friends to the Hidden Village in the Forbidden Forest (where a whole other tribe of Smurfs lived) brought down those insecurities. She and her friends discovered female Smurfs.

She was voiced by Demi Lovato in Smurfs: The Lost Village.

Her Good Ranking[]

What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Good?[]

  • While Papa Smurf used magic in the process of her redemption, it does not tamper with her moral agency, as she is still an individual, and Papa Smurf most likely than not only took away Gargamel's influence, allowing her to make her own choices.
  • Despite feeling excluded, she is always nice to all of her fellow Smurfs at the Smurf village, aware none of them want her to feel left out.
  • She helped save her friends and herself from Gargamel's lair and goons.
  • When she found out about the existence of another Smurf Village, she quickly had her friends prepare to journey there at the Forbidden Forest to warn them about Gargamel.
  • She worries about Brainy, Clumsy and Hefty through the journey, trying to save them and herself from all the threats along the way.
  • Saved Gargamel despite him being a villain, though he paid her back by smakcing her and her friends in the river.
  • She warns all of the female Smurfs about Gargamel's incoming threat.
  • She battles Gargamel with magical powers when he kidnapped all Smurfs from both Village and attempted to steal their essences.
  • She sacrifices herself by allowing Gargamel to absorb her essence, overcharging his magic and defeating him.
  • Throughout the animated series, she does good things to fellow Smurfs and is nice most of the time, often helping them with various everyday problems and issues.

What Prevents Her From Being Pure Good?[]

  • She does show some considerable jerkish moments in the 2021 animated series, most notably:
    • She makes bets with objects from other Smurfs without asking for permission in "Wanna Bet".
    • She mocks Brainy by sarcastically repeating how he is the "Smartest Smurf", and although she apologizes later on, this still shows she is not above being mischievous towards her friends.
