Silver the Hedgehog is a major protagonist of the Sonic the Comic Online! webcomic, the "unofficially official" continuation of Sonic the Comic comic book series. He is a psychokinetic hedgehog from 70 years into the future, a time when the world had been ravaged by the monster only known to him as "the Iblis", whose emergence he seeks to prevent from happening in the first place.

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]
- Throughout his life, he helped G.U.N. fight off Iblis and protect the last surviving Mobians from his wrath.
- He travelled to the Floating Island to get the remaining Chaos Emeralds needed to send him back in time and stop Iblis when he was still vulnerable, and convinced Knuckles to come with him instead of going down with the island.
- After arriving in the past, he destroyed a Mega Mack missile that would have rendered Emerald Hill Zone uninhabitable.
- While hunting for Sonic, he freed two kids from Detonik robots.
- Although he attempted to kill Sonic even before he went Super (or "Iblis"), it was a misguided attempt to do good, as Silver didn't know the entire background behind what made Sonic a fugitive, and believed he would be bringing him to justice. It's also implied that, even had Death-Trap not stopped him, he wouldn't be able to go through with killing him.
- After Super Sonic was unleashed, he told the Freedom Fighters of where he was going to strike first, allowing them to evacuate Emerald Hill Zone residents and make preparations to fight and depower him.
- He took part in a fight against Super Sonic, eventually immobilizing him long enough for Tails and Knuckles to spring their trap and depower him, saving Mobius from becoming a fiery wasteland.
- Now stuck in the past, he continued to fight evil, both small-scale villains like Brains and Brawn and global threats like Robotnik.
What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]
- He never apologizes or even expresses remorse for attempting to kill Sonic, despite having enough evidence to realize that he didn't intentionally cause the apocalypse, meaning he hasn't fully subverted his lethality.
