Shuri is a major character in Marvel Cinematic Universe. She is the princess-turned-queen and the main technology innovator from the little known but technologically advanced country called Wakanda, T'Challa's biological sister, and the daughter of King T'Chaka and Queen Ramonda.

Black Panther[]
- She was first introduced as Wakanda’s smartest princess, building powerful Vibranium gadgets to help his brother save Wakanda and the world by extension.
- After their father’s death and T’Challa was about to become the new king of Wakanda, she along with their mother Queen Ramonda, Nakia, Okoye, and everyone in Wakanda (except the Jabari Tribe) assisted at his coronation.
- When M’Baku challenged T’Challa to a battle for the throne of Wakanda, she along with Queen Ramonda, Nakia, Okoye, and Zuri motivated him.
- When T’Challa needed new equipment to go to South Korea and stop Ulysses Klaue, she gave to him a new upgraded version of the Black Panther suit made of nanotechnology and can be fit in a necklace, and it can absorb kinetic energy and redistribute it every time the suit gets hit.
- When T’Challa called her and he needed her help to prevent Klaue from escaping, she used one of her Remote Access Kimoyo Beads to drive a car in South Korea and helped him get to Klaue, until Klaue destroyed the car with the bead in it, and she was worried about her brother.
- After T’Challa, Nakia, and Okoye returned back home to Wakanda and they brought Everett Ross after he saved Nakia’s life from being shoot by Klaue and Erik Killmonger (who at first, they didn’t know he was N’Jadaka; Prince N’Jobu’s son), she helped them, and she managed to heal him at her lab.
- After receiving Okoye’s call about an unidentified Wakandan (who was Erik Killmonger) arrived at Wakanda and claimed Ulysses Klaue’s death, she was worried and called her brother back and started to do research of him.
- When Killmonger challenged T’Challa to a life-or-death battle for the throne of Wakanda, she defended her brother from him, although T’Challa accepted his challenge.
- During T’Challa’s fight against Killmonger, she along with their mother, Nakia, Okoye, and Zuri motivated him, just before Killmonger won the battle and killed T’Challa and Zuri as revenge for his father’s death.
- After T’Challa’s death and Killmonger took the throne of Wakanda, she along with her mother followed Nakia to escape and leave Wakanda to prevent Killmonger’s reign of terror.
- Although she and her mother didn’t like it, she along with her, Nakia, and Everett Ross went to Jabari Land to give M’Baku the last remaining Heart-Shaped Herb to become more powerful and defeat Killmonger, until M’Baku showed to them T’Challa, who has been rescued at the river by two of his fishermen.
- After seeing T’Challa in the snow, she along with her mother, Nakia, and Everett Ross use the last Heart-Shaped Herb to revive him, which was successful.
- After discovering that Killmonger planned to use all the Vibranium weapons in her lab to destroy the world and T’Challa beg her and their mother to leave Wakanda and be saved, she brought T’Challa’s necklace with his Black Panther suit in it and she decided it to help him, stop Killmonger and save the world.
- When they return back to her lab and she needed Everett to pilot a Royal Talon Fighter by using one of her Remote Access Kimoyo Beads to destroy the Wakandan Vibranium ships, before they could leave Wakanda and destroy the world, she motivated and guided him.
- She assisted Nakia, Okoye, and the Wakandan Royal Guards in their battle against Killmonger, when he had a new Black Panther suit, but later Killmonger managed to defeat them and he nearly killed her, until her brother saved her. Although she was worried about it, she assisted on T’Challa’s idea to activate the sonic stabilizers at the Wakandan Maglev Train in order to disable Killmonger’s Black Panther suit power. While T’Challa was fighting Killmonger, she along with Nakia, and even M’Baku and the Jabari Tribe assisted the Dora Milaje fight against the Border Tribe, and they succeed, after Okoye managed to make them surrender, after W’Kabi realized he and his tribe have lost.
- After Killmonger’s defeat and death, and T’Challa took her to Oakland, California and he decided to bought the building where their father killed his brother years ago and planned to turn it into the first Wakandan International Outreach Centre and he offered to her to be the head of the science and information exchange, she kindly accepted it.
- After T’Challa brought Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes at Wakanda, after the events of the Avengers Civil War, she managed to take HYDRA’s programming off of Bucky, and make him comfortable when he was resting and sleeping just before the events of the Infinity War.
Avengers: Infinity War[]
- When T’Challa brought Steve, Natasha, Bruce, Wanda, and Vision to the Wakanda Medical Center and they needed help to remove the Mind Stone carefully in order to survive Vision without it and so that Wanda wouldn’t destroy him, she agreed.
- While the Avengers were fighting the alien army from Proxima Midnight and Cull Obsidian, she tried to remove carefully the Mind Stone from Vision and later destroy it to prevent Thanos from taking it.
- When Corvus Glaive was attacking the Wakanda Medical Center, she and Ayo tried to stop him from kidnapping Vision and take the Mind Stone.
Avengers: Endgame[]
- After Hulk resurrected all the heroes Thanos have killed and he and his team needed help to stop past Thanos, she along with the other heroes assisted the Avengers to defeat Thanos and his army from doing the same mistake his original self did before.
- She was one of the many superhero girls who assisted Captain Marvel on getting the Infinity Stones to Ant-Man, although later Thanos destroyed the van.
- After Thanos’ ultimate defeat and death and Tony Stark sacrificed himself to save the universe, she along with the other heroes mourned and kneels his death.
- After the supreme battle against Thanos, she returned back to her normal life, reuniting with her mother and brother to keep ruling and protecting Wakanda.
- After Thanos’ death and Tony Stark’s sacrifice, she was one of the many superheroes who assisted at his funeral, along with her family.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever[]
- When her brother was sick when he had fallen ill from an unknown disease, she tried to recreate the Heart-Shaped Herb so that she could heal him.
- After her brother has passed away, she along with her mother, Okoye, M’Baku, and everyone in Wakanda assisted at his funeral, mourned his death, and honored him.
- One year later, after T’Challa’s death and Queen Ramonda was protecting the Vibranium supplies from mercenaries outside the world, she built new models and a new armor to help the Dora Milaje protect and keep safe Wakanda and the world from anymore threats.
- Although she followed her mother’s tradition of burning their funeral clothes, she didn’t want it to do it at first, because she said “she will not burnt only this cloth, but she will burnt the world and everything on it.”
- When Namor appeared in the river and he threatened her and her mother to find the American scientist who created the Vibranium Detector and bring her to him, she and her mother defended themselves from him.
- After studying the Vibranium Detector, she got impressed by the scientist’s sophistication and genius.
- She and Okoye went to Alexandria, Virginia, to get information about the scientist from Everett Ross, and he did tell them that the scientist was actually a young student teenager girl called Riri Williams who studies in a university called Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
- She and Okoye went to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to recruit Riri Williams and take her to Wakanda to prevent Namor from killing her.
- When the FBI followed Riri Williams to her garage and they attempt to arrest her, along with her and Okoye, she teamed up with Riri and Okoye to escape and save themselves from arrested by the FBI by the indirect vibranium operations.
- After Attuma and Namora defeated Okoye and they nearly killed Riri, she beg them to take her to Namor and not kill Riri, which make Attuma and Namora agreed.
- After she and Riri were taking to Talokan and Riri was so scared, she tried to calm her down and telling her that everything is gonna be okay.
- After, she had a talk with Namor and he told to her about his tragic backstory about how he become the first son of Talokan and he lost his mother and why he became a bad guy in the first place, she felt sorry for him.
- After hearing Namor’s reason on why he want to kill Riri, she tried to reason to him to not kill her and find another way to fix their problems with Wakanda and Talokan.
- When Namor invited her to meet Talokan, she got excited it and after seeing how beautiful it was, she loved it and its people and its resources and cared for it.
- When Namor planned a war against the world and he wanted Wakanda to be a part of it, she refused to help him.
- When Nakia came to save her and Riri, and she shoot an Talokanil woman and she was dying, she tried to heal her by using one of her Kimoyo Beads, but Nakia refused and took her and Riri and get them go back home to Wakanda.
- After returning back home to Wakanda and Namor and his army were assaulting and flooding Wakanda, she along with her mother, Aneka, Okoye, Nakia, M’Baku, and Riri tried to stop him and get everyone in Wakanda to safety.
- When Namor assaulted the palace and he throw Hydrobombs to her mother and Riri and they were attacked and got drowned, she along with Okoye, Nakia, M’Baku, and Aneka tried to save them, but it was too late, Queen Ramonda was dead, but Riri survived the drown.
- She, along with Okoye, Nakia, Riri, M’Baku, Aneka, and everyone in Wakanda, assisted at Queen Ramonda’s funeral, honored her, and mourned her death, especially her, since she had lost all her family; her father, her brother, and now her mother.
- Knowing that Wakanda and the world needed a new Black Panther, she successfully recreated the Heart-Shaped Herb and she helped Riri built her Ironheart armor and formed a plan to make Namor unpowerful and defeat him.
- After drinking the Heart-Shaped Herb and she encountered with Killmonger and he was mocking and manipulating her in her plan to defeat Namor, she defended herself and her brother from him. (Although, Killmonger tells her not to disrespect her mother and his auntie's sacrifice like that).
- After successfully getting the power of the Heart-Shaped Herb, she took her brother’s place and become the new Black Panther.
- She and the Wakandan warriors formed a plan to bring Namor and his army to a place in the Atlantic Ocean by using the Vibranium Detector and stopped them, and they succeed.
- During the Dora Milaje battle against the Talokanils, she helped them take down a few of them, just before Riri succeed on distracting and capturing Namor inside one of the Royal Train Fighters.
- When Namor attempted to destroy the Royal Train Fighter and help his army to kill Shuri’s friends and the Dora Milaje to prevent them for interfering with his plans, she tried to stop him by using all her Black Panther movements against him and avenging her mother’s death.
- After remembering her true potential and she didn’t give up on fighting Namor, she defeated him and save the world from his attempt war.
- Although she got the chance to kill Namor, she remembered all the beautiful moments she had in Wakanda and Talokan and saw her mother in a vision, she abandoned her extreme revenge on Namor and offered him a chance to surrender in order to protect Talokan and its secrets, which made Namor agreed.
- She and Namor (despite, he didn’t learn his lesson) convinced Wakanda and Talokan to stop fighting and managed to convince them to go back home, successfully stopping the war between Wakanda and Talokan.
- After Namor’s defeat and she returned back home to Wakanda, she along with Riri and everyone in Wakanda turned it back into a paradise, since she along with other Wakandans plant the Heart-Shaped Herbs back to the kingdom and she even waved her last goodbye to Riri, before she returned back to Massachusetts, and she even fixed her red car, after it was destroyed before during their chase against the FBI.
- Despite being crowned as the Queen of Wakanda, she decided to give the throne to M’Baku and leave Wakanda and go to Haiti and help Nakia during her stay.
- After arriving to Nakia’s house, she finally followed Ramonda’s tradition by burning her funeral cloth and remembering all the good moments she had with her brother, mourning and missing him, and she finally moved past her trauma.
- When Nakia introduced to her, her son; Toussaint, she was happy to meet him and she even was proud of him, after he revealed to him that his real name was Prince T’Challa, son of King T’Challa.
- At the end of the movie, she subverted most of her corrupting factors, including her extreme revenge against Namor and her argument with M’Baku.

- She can sometimes act a little mischievous, such as by playing pranks and jokes to her brother, especially when she took a video of T’Challa being knocked out after he kicked her new Black Panther suit when it activated an impact of kinetic energy.
- Despite shredding most of her corrupting factors, she retained some of her arrogant and jerkish attitude, especially regarding most of her inventions and arguing with Okoye about how she at first disliked her Midnight Angel Armor model.
