Shizue Izawa is the posthumous protagonist in the That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime series.
She is voiced by Yumiri Hanamori in Japanese and Dawn M. Bennett in English.

What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Good?[]
In General[]
- While she was a master and teacher of Yuuki Kagurazaka, she didn't know he was a bad person makes this unable to be considered corrupting due to her lack of awareness.
- Although she didn't like the Central World nor hate it but it is too understandable to be considered corrupting for the following reasons due to her tragic past:
- She lost her mother in the World War II bombings and was summoned to the Central World by Leon Crowell where he initially let her to die from her burn injuries, had Ifrit made her his host and became a unwillingly enforcer.
- In childhood ends up killing Pirino a girl she befriended and her pet Pizu due to Ifrit possessing her and doing it against her will where she was remorseful of it with Leon being completely remorseless and unempathetic of it.
- She was seemly left to die by Leon Cromwell until The Masked Hero where she was trained by her.
- She also had to deal with painful struggles of keeping Ifrit in check for most of her life until the end of her lifespan made her unable to contain him anymore.
- Those hardships make her too much of a tragic scapegoat where she played for lots of sympathy thus makes her dislike too understandable be corrupting and furthermore she never shown hatred or hostility to the people in the Central World. Not to mention she still formed friendships and care for many others as she willingly went her way to protect others despite it.
- Although she did lie on Kaval's Party on her intentions of leaving, it was due to her fear of hurting them if Ifrit took over given she was loosing hold and keeping him in check due her close to the end of her lifespan.
- Despite the admirable standards of the series, she stands for her impact through Rimuru Tempest, Hinata Sakaguchi, and Chloe Aubert who would later on to go very admirable things after her death.
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime[]
- She would be remorseful when Ifrit took over her body and made her kill Pirino and Pizu against her will.
- Although she did serve the Anti-Villain Loen Cromwell, she had no choice and happily chose to be a hero when the Masked Hero rescued her and trained her.
- After being trained into a hero, she would go onto to do many heroic deeds as Champion of Flames that she would do and few are shown:
- Dealing with the Demon Orthos that taken over a entire kingdom.
- The Fallen Angel Jilzaridhara who attempted to pose as a god to a nation.
- Capturing Vega who was a threat to a village that needed to be eliminated.
- She would become a teacher to Class S which would have Chloe Aubert. She also Hinata Sakaguchi, and Yuuki Kagurazaka to do their own acts.
- Despite Yuuki being a Anti-Villain, he has done some selfless deeds at times.
- She would attempt to find Leom Cromwell to ask what trick he used to save her those years so it can be recreated to save her students from dying of Magicule overload when they were close to several year mark.
- When traveling through the Great Forest of Jura with Kaval's Party, she would attempt to protect them from Giant Ants though failed to get last one thankfully Rimuru Tempest took care of it.
- Although she did fail to reach Leon in time before she succumb to her age due to Ifrit taking her and while he did caused damage to the Goblin Village she was completely possessed by him thus too unwillingly to be considered corrupting.
- She would ask Rimuru Tempest to save her students, Hinata Sakaguchi, and Yuuki Kagurazaka as her final request before having Rimuru Tempest put her to rest. This would allow Rimuru Tempest to do many heroic actions in the future and her students..
- She would be aware of the impact as she returned as a spirit in Slime Diaries and later Awakening of the Chosen Hero thus it can count enough to not be too indirect.
What Prevents Her From Being Pure Good?[]
- While she lost all of her corrupting factors, she relies on Fridge-Brilliance due to most of her heroic actions not shown and while some are shown flashbacks to not completely rely on it, they're not enough alone to push her to pass the series admirable standards to be a full on Pure Good.
- While dealing with Orthos, Jilzaridhara and Vega are admirable actions, they're only few of her many heroic deeds shown given when it was stated she was very famous hero in-universe meaning she had likely done more heroic deeds than what was shown given she was an A Rank Adventurer highest level rank in the Adventurers Guild. This means she has multiple other heroic deeds not shown that could've made her more admirable.
- Although given her impact through her training Hinata Sakaguchi and Chloe Aubert into the Heroes they are and her impact through Rimuru Tempest on his actions enough to stand out given she is aware of the impact as a spirit.
Trivia[]
- She is the only That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Near Pure Good whose only prevention is failing the standards instead of corrupting factors.
- If more of her past actions are shown, it could make her admirable enough to be a full on Pure Good.
