His Good Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]
- He truly loved his wife Harumi, and their son Satoshi, solely wanting to do right by his family and did everything in his power to take care of them.
- When the Lin Kuei invaded his home, he rushed in to drive them out of his family home, to try and save Harumi, while also protecting Satoshi.
- He felt really sorry and blamed himself for failing to save Satoshi and Harumi.
- Upon Shang Tsung’s orders for him to kill Liu Kang, he tricked the sorcerer and instead yielded on purpose to Liu Kang, so that Earthrealm is proclaimed the winner.
- He fought and killed Quan Chi, fully avenging his family and clan.
- When Shinnok offered him a chance to join the dark side, he refused. Instead, he teleported back to Earthrealm to warn Raiden about Shinnok.
- Raiden wanted Scorpion to prevent Shinnok from touching the amulet by all means necessary, to which he obliged.
- When he met Sub-Zero (whom Scorpion thought was dead, it was actually the original Sub-Zero’s younger brother), he didn’t want to fight with him, and instead apologized and tried to reason with him.
- He tried to quarrel with the Lin Kuei cyborgs to stop what they are doing, as it will be the end of mankind.
- He saved Sub-Zero from the Lin Kuei cyborgs.
- He teamed up with Sub-Zero, Liu Kang and other Earthrealmers, in the fight against Shinnok and his army, to which they are successful in.
- In Scorpion’s Revenge, he started off to be a full-on antihero, was arrogant, he was nowhere close to being an NPG. In the sequel, he subverted all of these qualities and instead, understood how the desire of vengeance can corrupt you, thus transforming him from a selfish vigilante to a true protector of Earthrealm.
What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]
- He is lethal in combat. However, most of the enemies he fights are mindless demons, cyborgs, black dragon soldiers, Quan Chi and Bi-Han (he later felt remorse as he was misguided by Quan Chi). Thus, this is a minor prevention.
