Ruby Diorite is the tritagonist of the Inkopolis Chaos trilogy. She served as the secondary antagonist turned major character of Inkopolis Chaos, one of the two tritagonists of Inkopolis Chaos 2 and one of the three deuteragonists of Inkopolis Chaos 3. She is an experienced long-term octoling soldier/spy who is extremely overprotective of octolings. She wanted them to be separate from inklings, as she thought they were dangerous and evil. However, she ended up taking this all too far, and when she realised it, she was very remorseful for her actions, and decided to redeem herself.

What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Good?[]
- Even as an anti-villain, she showed great concern for other octolings, such as being good with young octolings, having a best friend, helping her family, doing her best to protect octolings and always trying to keep them out of harms way. She always had good intentions, or at least what she thought were good intentions.
- She stopped Magentark Clover from killing dozens of deserting octolings by killing him. This did come to bite her in the back later, and she felt bad that she thought she caused Cyalux’s descent into villainy.
- She is always working extremely hard every day to keep everyone safe.
- She redeems herself by pulling Samuel and Natalie up from the cliff, saving both of them.
- She attacked Scarlet’s Gang for what they did to Natalie.
- She felt extreme remorse for trying to hurt Samuel, begging for him to kill her, and bursting into tears out of remorse.
- She helped take down Scarlet Spiker.
- She went back to octo valley to play Calamari Inktation over the next year to free as many octolings as possible.
- She saved Melissa from a bunch of octobusters, and manages to convince her into trusting octolings. She was also understanding of why Melissa thought the way she did.
- She helped expose and take down the octobusters.
- Although she called her a traitor to start with, she showed great respect for Katelin/Agent 8 in the end, calling her a brilliant thing and bowing before her.
- She warned the other agents about Lieutenant Obsidian.
- She took files from Lieutenant Obsidian, and gave vital information about her plans.
- She helped Natalie rescue Samuel and Jade from their execution, by knocking Lt. Obsidian out with a punch to the back of the head.
- She showed concern for Sylvia when she was traumatised.
- She felt extreme remorse for thinking that she was the cause of Cyalux’s descent into villainy, and was really harsh on herself. She felt so bad about it that it damaged her mental state.
- She sacrifices herself to save Jade from falling to her death into a flooded ravine. She even looks at a picture of her, Georgina and Zack, saying how she had some value after all before plunging into the water and dying. Her sacrifice got her great respect from dozens of people.
- Ruby sacrificing herself to keep Jade alive allowed Jade to go on to lead a successful attack on Lieutenant Obsidian, where she saved Katelin, Summer, Samuel and Natalie, directly killed Scarlet Spiker, and Lieutenant Obsidian and Sub Lieutenant Blakeson were also killed during the battle. So thanks to Ruby, the battle was heavily in the squidbeaks favour, and caused a victory.
- Although she had many corrupting qualities at the start, she sheds almost all of them by the end.
What Prevents Her From Being Pure Good?[]
- Ruby is sometimes lethal and even vengeful, as she is shown to kill her opponents without a moment of hesitation. In the first story, she brutally attacked Jack, James and Jess for attempting to kill Natalie, and almost killing them. While she is justified in wanting to kill them, considering who they were, she still acted too violent for a purely good character. In the second story, she smiled at the thought of killing two octobusters who were trapping her and her friends in Dylan’s apartment. Again, while wanting to kill the octobusters was justified, considering they were threatening her and her friends with death, smiling at the thought of killing your enemies is not something a purely good character would do, even if it was a onetime situation.
