~ Ron Stallworth's legendary prank call to David Duke, now revealing himself to be the real Ron Stallworth being the detective. |
Ron Stallworth is the main protagonist of the 2018 film BlacKkKlansman and is directly based on the real life African American policeman Ron Stallworth, a black officer who did in fact succeed at infiltrating the Colorado branch of the KKK in the 1970s.
He is portrayed by John David Washington.
His Good Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]
What Makes Him Close to Pure Good?[]
- He is incredibly egalitarian because he seeks to become a policemen to help black people be freed from oppression and racism, and to stand up for his people.
- As soon as he saw an ad for the Ku Klux Klan, he intended to come up a strategy with the help of his friend Flip Zimmerman, to make a fool out of the Klu Klux Klan and trick them into defeat in honor of the black student union and a black rights speech.
- While he can come across a little buttoned-up a couple of times, he nevertheless has a deep commitment to justice and holds a fiery hatred of racism and oppression, and manages to achieve his noble goal in exposing the KKK with low resources.
- He is always loyal to his allies in the police force and treats them all respectfully, and all of his strategic and meticulous actions were heroic and were meant to help African-Americans live peacefully without being oppressed, which is a running theme throughout the film.
- While Patrice was mad at Ron for lying about the fact he was a construction worker but actually a officer and was not in the protest for "black people rights", Ron was genuinely remorseful of the fact and still remain devoted his goal to the mission of taking down the KKK with strategy in order to help a similar goal with black people's rights instead of brute force or engaging in protesting like Patrice was aggressively pushing.
- He saved Patrice's life from the racist cop Andy Landers's assault, and he (alongside his friends) also got Andy arrested as well for official misconduct, which was something Ron planned as payback for Andy's misdeeds.
- He convinced two officers of the Colorado Springs police force in the scene of Connie Kendrickson's terroristic attempt with bombing someone's house that he was innocent and attacked by Connie before the cops showed up by showing them his ID as a offiical police officer of the same force, and this got Connie arrested and taken away from her equally villainous spouse, Felix Kendrickson.
- Even though he was told by boss to remove all traces of evidence with Ron being the one who defeated the KKK, and Ron wished to have told the public the story, but his policemen allies know the real story to this very day.
- While he almost let his anger get the best of him when the racist cop Andy Landers made a condescending remark towards Ron for not being a good cop just for being black when the Colorado Springs force finally took note of Ron's mission to ruin the KKK and nearly discouraged him for it. However, he subverts this moment throughout the film.
What Prevents Him From Pure Good?[]
- He can be somewhat reckless at times, such as happily getting David Duke and a KKK member in a friends type of photo with a camera taken by Flip, and Ron did this by touching David on the shoulders for a group photo.
- He has moments of being mischievous, such as him once (playfully) teasing his former girlfriend Patrice about her aggressive devotion for her "black people rights" club, and he has been frequently pranking David Duke throughout the film during the impersonation phone-call act, such has his legendary prank call to David at the climax of the film when Ron was at the police station (right after he already defeated the Klu Klux Klan).
