Ron is the titular deuteragonist of the animated movie, Ron's Gone Wrong. He is a B-Bot, however, due to a crack, he is able to actually become a friend with his owner, instead of simply copying everything he likes with the goal of profit for the enterprise, like the other ones. His kid is a boy named Barney, a poor boy whose only friends have stopped talking to him due to hos absence of a B-Bot. However, in Ron, Barney sees his first only, unconditional friend, and both go to a journey to discover the meaning of friendship.

He is voiced by Zach Galifianakis.

His Good Ranking[]

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]

  • He tried to get new friends for Barney.
  • He tried to get Barney's old friends to him again.
  • While he stated he wanted to "destroy" Rich, it was only out of misunderstanding, as he thought it was something normal, and it is not outright stated he would kill him.
  • He understood the real meaning of friendship with Barney.
  • Any of his "jerk" moments with Barney is just friendly teasing, and it's not corrupting as he knows Barney takes it playfully.
  • He helped Barney run away to the woods.
  • He saved Barney from an aesmathic attack, by bringing him back to the city.
  • He sacrificed his own life to spread his damaged to code to all B-Bots, which would turn hundreds of lifeless robots in true being capable of understanding friendship, while also improving an entire generation of children, who were being raised in a consumeristic, lonely, superficial and aggressive lifestyle, with barely any child knowing a true friendship.
  • Said goodbye to Barney, comforting him that, even if he was going away, he would still be always with him.

What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]

  • He has moral agency issues, since the only thing allowing him to understand friendship is an error in his code derived from a crack, and his personality can easily be reset to the lifeless, patronized one of a B-Bot.
  • In an act of attacking Rich out of retaliation, he pulled his head off with his mechanical strength, which would’ve potentially caused lethal injuries to the latter if not for Barney stopping him.
