Riley is the overarching protagonist of the horror game Poppy Playtime's fourth chapter, Safe Haven.
She is an orphan who was brought into Playtime Co. to be used as an experiment, to be made into a Bigger Body; a biological, gigantic version of the company's trademark toys. Telling her story through notes written by her, Riley suffers in the inner levels of the monstrous factory until a sudden change of events happen.

What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Good?[]
- Upon being brought by Playtime Co. into Playcare, she didn't easily make friendships with the kids not out of jerkiness or aggressiveness, but out of shyness and not being able to connect to their lifestyle since she was orphaned way older than them. Even then, she pitied her fellow orphans for not knowing a world outside Playcare.
- Despite all of the pain and torture she endured after being chosen by Dr. White and brought to the Labs, later the Prison, to be turned into a Bigger Body, she never lost a semblance of her humanity, staying, as traumatized as she was, firm in the morals taught to her by her parents.
- Following the Hour of Joy, she refused to eat any corpses, human or toy, to survive.
- She snatched the key that allowed the Prison's train to work, in hopes no one else would be brought down there, tortured and experimented on like she was.
- She has no corrupting qualities shown at all, being sweet and optimistic even in the bleakest of situations, and having the worse thing to say about her torturers and inhumane doctors being "demons", while describing the factory as "Hell".
- Despite being a posthumous character who is long dead by the time of the game, she possess enough characterization due to the amount of detail her journals provide not only about her actions, but about her personality as well.
- Despite the admirable standard set by Poppy Playtime, who opposes the Prototype's brutal rule over the factory, and her allies, such as: Doey the Doughman, responsible for keeping toys at Safe Haven safe for years; DogDay, who fought CatNap's rule in Playcare so much that he was martyrized; the Intruder, who defeated CatNap and killed Mommy Long Legs and the Doctor, Riley doesn't fail it because of her literal complete lack of screen time and resources, and selfless action of stealing the key to prevent further victims of Playtime Co's experiments.
What Prevents Her From Being Pure Good?[]
- She suffers from offscreen heroics due to her sacrificing having been done offscreen, 10 years before the game's events, and the only effects seen being her corpse carrying the key.
- Her efforts suffer from Fridge Brilliance since, despite her noble motivations, her actions didn't really equate to any lives being saved, as the Hour of Joy had already left the factory, including the Prison and Labs, all but defunct, the orphans were brought to the Prototype, and the killings the Doctor commited in the Prison being of the toys already there. In resume: no one would be brought there, through that train at least, to be tortured and experimented on, which is what Riley tried to prevent.
