Remy is the main protagonist of Pixar's 8th full-Length animated feature film Ratatouille. He is an anthropomorphic rat, who after becoming sick of his life as a garbage dweller, takes it upon himself to try and achieve his dream of cooking, and while he didn't succeed in the way he thought he would, he manages to accomplish this dream with the help of Alfredo Linguini.
He was voiced by Patton Oswalt who also voiced Max in The Secret Life of Pets.

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]
- At the beginning of the film, he saved his father from eating a pastry containing rat poison, and then proceeded to become their food checker, thus saving many rats from being killed by eating rat poison.
- While he was bored during the job, this was only because he wanted to do something else, and he still wanted the rat colony to be safe.
- While he did end up putting his family in danger because of his reckless actions, it was unintentional and he felt remorse for it.
- Upon finding himself at Gusteau's, he proceeded to fix Linguini's terrible meal, saving him from being fired.
- While at first he tried to run away, breaking the deal that he made with Linguini in the process, it's understandable since he believed he was going to be drowned in a river, and he came back immediately after realizing that Linguini isn't a threat and helps him cook, upholding his end of the deal.
- Upon realizing the opportunity he had, he proceeded to help Linguini cook food, which managed to bolster his position to manager.
- He risked his life to bring Gusteau's will and and reveal the truth of Linguini being Gusteau's son, resulting in Skinner being fired and Linguini becoming the new manager.
- He managed to get Linguini and Colette into a happy relationship thanks to his quick thinking.
- While he did allow his family to infest and steal food from Gusteau's, he felt remorse for doing so.
- He sacrificed himself to save his brother from being captured by Skinner.
- He managed to tie up and capture the Health Inspector and Skinner, who were trying to find out the truth about him and his family, and get the establishment shut down. And while this could be seen as villainous, this was a necessary act, not to mention Remy said they eventually let them out anyway.
- Once Gusteau's was shut down, he proceeds to open a brand-new restaurant named Ratatouille, which not only allowed many of the employees to have jobs, but also provide food for his family.
What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]
- Despite mostly subverting his corrupting qualities, he can still be a bit of a jerk at times, such as when he intentionally made Linguini hit himself with his pan.
