His Good Ranking[]

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]

  • He helped Shattered fight Silence with his low resources, being just a human with a rifle.
  • Although he was in odds with Rajah, it's understandable since Rajah betrayed him and his squad during the war.
  • He always put his life in danger to protect the innocent.
  • During the final battle against Silent, Recon grabbed an unconscious Rajah's knife and boasted himself to fight Silent to save Shattered, though he knew it was almost impossible to beat Silent.
  • He was good with Relinquish despite what he did, even offering to help him, despite the former's refusal.
  • When he and Shattered had to fight Relinquish, he used weaker attacks to not severely injure nor kill Relinquish, out of respect for his goals.
  • He swore never to kill anyone again.
  • He tried to reason with Silent and end things peacefully, albeit to no success.
  • He protected Shattered during the Variant War, putting his life on the line for hers.
  • Despite Vance's hostility, he remained in control of himself and never let himself get annoyed by him.
  • He offered Vance help to defeat Relinquish when he was attacking the city, despite him refusing.
  • During the fight, he was still on edge, not wanting his friend to be harmed by Relinquish.
  • He's shown not to hold grudges against his enemies.
  • He sacrificed himself to protect his friends in Promise.
  • In the finale, "Final Strike", he posthumously protected Shattered from Apacar, nearly erasing him from existence completely.

What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]

  • He broke his promise of never killing by killing Blight. Though Blight deserved it for infecting people with uncurable diseases, when confronted over his promise he stated, "Blight had it coming...", showing no remorse over the murder and breaking his promise.
  • He has some major anger issues, and while those diminish throughout the series, he still retains some such as when he got mad over a random civilian.
