This city isn't yours. This city isn't ours. This city is theirs.

If I die 'cause I gambled on love, it will be a worthy death.
~ Ratcatcher 2

Cleo Cazo, also known as Ratcatcher 2, is the deuteragonist of the 2021 superhero film The Suicide Squad. She is the daughter of the original Ratcatcher, who taught her how to live a life crime by communicating with rats. She would be sent to Belle Reve due to her actions, but would be recruited into Task Force X to destroy any evidence of Project Starfish on Corto Maltese.

She was portrayed by Daniela Melchior.

Her Good Ranking[]

What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Good?[]

  • While she did use rats for her plans, she cared about them and was never abusive towards them.
  • Even though she eventually became a criminal, she did try to abide by the law at first.
  • Although she did summon rats to try and attack King Shark, the latter tried to eat her. And even then, she forgave him quickly by becoming friends with him.
  • Despite everyone’s qualms about King Shark, she gave him a chance.
  • She joined the fight against Starro despite knowing that Amanda could detonate the bond in her head at any moment.
  • Her rats were crucial in Starro's downfall, allowing her to stand out amongst the vast gallery of DCEU heroes. While she did have her rats eat him from the inside, she couldn’t have known this and was also crying at the rats being attacked.
  • She is very fond of her teammates, especially of Bloodsport and King Shark, emphasized with Polka Dot Men's tragic backstory and mourned his death, and tried to expose the government's participation in Starfish Project to avenge Flag's death at the hands of Peacemaker.

What Prevents Her From Being Pure Good?[]

  • While she arguably redeemed herself, she never showed outright remorse for her crimes, though this is a minor prevention as her crimes weren't as extreme as some of the other squad's members.
  • She has a lethal moment where she threatened to have her rats crawl up the Thinker's anus just because he was annoying her.

Trivia[]

  • She was originally considered a Heroic Benchmark, however, she was approved as NPG after it was deemed she played a crucial part in defeating an IH.
