Quinn Ergon is one of the deuteragonists of adult comedy series Final Space. She is the former member of Infinity Guard, who fell in love with Gary Goodspeed.

She was voiced by Tika Sumpter, who also portrayed Maddie Wachowski in the Sonic Cinematic Universe.

What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Good?[]

In General[]

While Nightfall is her future counterpart and she is a fallen hero and an extremist, it should be noted that doesn't mean Quinn will suffer the same fate as well, as she doesn't agree with several of her actions and stops her from doing some crimes, there is also the fact that even Nightfall herself says that Quinn isn't becoming her by using her helmet. So, in conclusion, Nightfall's actions in no way affect Quinn's heroic status.
At the beggining of the show, she was a massive jerk towards Gary and other characters, but she subverted them and by the time of Season 3, she is never shown to be this in any moment.
She loses a majority of her corrupting factors by the end of the series.

Background[]

When she was a child, she tried to stop her younger sister Avery from going after a beacon they were after due to being too dangerous, worrying for her safety.
She tried to stop Avery from risking her life when they got ambushed by an unknown enemy force.
She blames herself over the death of her sister despite doing everything she could to save her.
After finding out that Gary wasn't a pilot and that he stole a suit to fit in with the Infinity Guard and caused the destruction of 92 cruisers and a small family-owned restaurant, she knocked him out and arrested him.

Season 1[]

She went out of her way to investigate on the Final Space breach even when her superiors were denying it was dangerous.
She tried to warn Chuck and the Infinity Guard members about the Final Space breach.
She felt sympathy for Gary when she found out he spent 5 years sending messages to someone (who was actually her) without her responding and thanked him for saving her life.
She attempted to risk her life to fix H.U.E. and bring him back online after he was hacked by the Infinity Guard.
Even after having several evidences that the Infinity Guard was corrupt, she didn't believe it and still tried to trust them.
She tried to leave Gary in the Galaxy One so he wouldn't get hurt, worrying for his safety despite his constant annoyance.
She tried to redeem the Infinity Guard members after she learned that they were truly corrupt and were trying to destroy all life, although they all refused.
She rejected Superior Stone's offer of corruption when he tried to convince her in joining his side to help him destroy the universe.
She felt great remorse for indirectly helping the Infinity Guard with their omnicidal goals.
Although she did try to stop Avocato from rescuing his son, this was only because they didn't have time to save him and the universe was at risk, and she still understood his motives regardless.
When KVN gave her the idea to kill Gary, she told him not to do it.
Despite originally planning to leave Gary, after seeing how much he loved her through seeing the messages he sent to her, she decided to save him from the Lord Commander.
She told Gary to talk to Little Cato after Avocato died to comfort the latter.
She tried to stop Gary from going on what was basically a suicide mission to kill the Lord Commander.
She helped in stopping Nightfall from killing Mooncake.
She finally admits that she cares for Gary and the rest of the Team Squad and that she needs them all, including KVN.
She comforted Gary when she found out he lost his father as a child.
She told Gary to give KVN a thumbs up after the latter saved them from Infinity Guard members.
Risking her life to save Gary from falling rocks, nearly dying in the process.
Choosing to stay with Mooncake even after the Lord Commander threatened to kill her and the rest of the Team Squad if they did.
She helps defeat the Lord Commander and his army.
When the Earth was sucked into Final Space by a Titan, to make sure they wouldn't escape from Final Space, she uses the anti-matter bomb to close the Final Space breach, knowing she would likely die if she did.

Season 2[]

She tries to warn Gary about Invictus and makes an attempt to tell Gary not save her so he wouldn't get killed by Invictus.

Season 3[]

She helps Tribore give birth to his child, later named Quatronostro.
She was shocked when Gary started shooting on Kevin Van Newton and even stopped him from destroying his apartment out of revenge.
Thanking Kevin Van Newton for giving the Team Squad a new ship.
Although she did lie to Gary about her being sick from Final Space poison and that she was dying, this was only because she thought Gary would spend the rest of her time alive trying to pointlessly save her and that she wouldn't spent her final moments with him, she would also deeply regret this decision and even apologized multiple times for it.
Rescuing Little Cato from the Lord Commander and Invictus.
Trying to help Ash with her pain after the Lord Commander broke her fingers.
She helps make a funeral for Fox so they could honor him after he was killed by Invictus.
Telling Gary to warn Tribore and Quatronostro that the Hyper Trandimensional Bridge was nearly finished so they could get out of Final Space.
After finding out about the KVN Net, she decides to stay in Final Space so they could stop the Titans from leaving Final Space, even if she knew she would die if she stayed much longer in Final Space.
Telling the Team Squad not to give up and still have hope even after the Hyper Trandimensional Bridge was offline and they couldn't get out of Final Space.
She felt sympathy for one of the dead Garys after she found out he spent all of his time possessed in a near death status unable to actually die, telling him that she will never give up on him as a way to comfort him in his final moments.
She helped the crew get out of Final Space by using Nightfall's helmet to get information on how the Hyper Trandimensional Bridge could be activated.
At the end of the series, she tried to comfort Gary over Mooncake's presumed death.

What Prevents Her From Being Pure Good?[]

While she subverted most of her corrupting qualities, Quinn still has a bit of a lethal side, as she told the Team Squad to show no mercy towards the Infinity Guard since she knew they would show no mercy for them either. Despite this, the Infinity Guard were planning to release the Titans, which would have caused the destruction of the universe, and she already tried to redeem them but failed, so this is a minor prevention.

Trivia[]

While Quinn is currently Near Pure Good, this may change once the graphic novel, Final Space: The Final Chapter, is released.
To further drive her heroic status, Olan Roger has confirmed that he wrote Quinn to be the hero of the series while Gary was the focus character.
