Princess Celestia is the overarching protagonist of the fourth generation of My Little Pony. She was the former ruler of Equestria along with her younger sister, Princess Luna, both of whom were responsible for raising the sun and the moon. She was the mentor and idol of Twilight Sparkle, whom she addressed as her faithful student.
She was voiced by Nicole Oliver.

What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Good?[]
- Treated her subjects very well for thousands of years.
- She's shown true kindness, care and support to every pony.
- She forgives and reconciles with her sister Princess Luna.
- Prior to ruling Equestria, Celestia and Luna defeated some of the villains, including Discord, King Sombra, and Tirek.
- Tried to reason with her sister Luna when she became Nightmare Moon and gave her a chance to give up on her attempt to rule over Equestria.
- Mercifully banished her sister Princess Luna, who became Nightmare Moon to the moon for a thousand years. Despite this, she felt regret over this.
- She gave the Apples an amount of land as a way of repaying them for their hard work, which resulted in Granny Smith finding the Zap Apple trees and indirectly resulted in the creation of Ponyville.
- It's revealed in a flashback that Celestia calmed down Twilight when she went insane with her powers and gave Twilight a chance to become her student.
- Being a good mentor to Twilight Sparkle and helping her become princess.
- Sent Twilight to Ponyville in order to make friends.
- Forgiving Princess Luna after she turned back to normal.
- Gave tickets to the Grand Galloping Gala to all the Mane Six and Spike.

- Standing up to Chancellor Neighsay alongside Twilight and the others.
- Preventing Cozy Glow from escaping alongside Luna and Neighsay.
- She, Luna, and Star Swirl let the Mane Six confront King Sombra by holding off the uncontrollable vines from the Everfree Forest.
- Reconciled with Luna after falling-out during their vacation.
- Punished Chrysalis, Tirek, and Cozy Glow by turning them into stone to end their reign of terror on all of Equestria alongside Luna and Discord. Although Cozy was still a child, she still saw her as a threat and was doing it to make sure she never harmed anyone ever again.
What Prevents Her From Being Pure Good?[]
- She is merciless towards Queen Chrysalis, Cozy Glow, and Tirek, as while she did turn them to stone because they were a threat, she had little to no issue doing it. Plus she could have simply sent them to Tartarus rather than turn them to stone. But it was simply justified considering that they’ve been hurting them and all their friends and gave them their well deserved comeuppance.
- While Cozy and Tirek did manage to escape from there at first, it was only really because Discord summoned them out.
- Can be mildly arrogant at times.
