| “ | Orion Pax, your noble sacrifice for the greater good has proven you worthy in the eyes of Primus. He entrusts in you, the future of Cybertron, and the Matrix of Leadership! | „ |
| ~ Alpha Trion when Primus reviving Orion Pax with Matrix of Leadership and renaming him as Optimus Prime. |
Primus is the overarching protagonist of the 2024 science-fiction/action film Transformers One. He is the creator of the Thirteen Primes who gave up his life to protect the universe and become Cybertron.
His Good Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]
- Sacrificed his life force to protect the universe, becoming Cybertron.
- Created the Thirteen Primes to protect all Transformers.
- Along with that, he gave Zeta Prime the Matrix of Leadership in order to allow Energon to flow and sustain life for all Cybertronians.
- When Sentinel tried to take the Matrix of Leadership for himself, Primus took it away as he deemed him unworthy of it.
- While it did cause the Energon rivers to no longer flow for 50 cycles after he made, it wasn't his intention as he didn't wanted Sentinel to become much more powerful to take over Cybertron and possibly the universe. Despite this, the Matrix of Leadership came back to light to Orion Pax.
- Plus given that many Cybertronians were too arrogant and cruel to others, like Darkwing was to miners, or wrathful and neutral like D-16, it is possible that Primus didn't want to take the risk of misusing the Matrix.
- Deemed Orion Pax worthy, alongside with deceased Primes, for his noble sacrifice for the greater good, and gave him the Matrix of Leadership, reviving him, renaming him as Optimus Prime.
- Even though Primus is a cosmic entity, there's nothing to confirm that he lacks moral agency.
- Overall, all of his intervention and decisions ultimately brought an end to Sentinel and resulted in Iacon City not being destroyed by Megatron. And had he not intervene, the day would have turn very sour.
What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]
- He has limited characterization despite showing traits of a benevolent ruler, as he has no speaking lines and his physical form is only seen once, with him spending all of his time in the film as the planet Cybertron.
Trivia[]
- The fact that the cavern that the miners digging for Energon can suddenly close down could be interpreted as Primus trying to heal himself from the damage done to him due to constant mining, even at the expense of his childrens being crushed to death. In fact, the miners digging for Energon could also be interpreted as Primus's childrens digging through their father's body to obtain his lifeblood.
- It is possible that Primus intentionally create the rock tidal wave to knock the main heroes off the train, since the train's destination would be where Sentinel's army and the Quintessons have a meeting, and if the group were caught there, they would undoubtly get executed to conceal the truth. Given by how Primus tend to make decisions that save the day, this may very well be the case.
- He's the only Near Pure Good in Transformers One to not be a part of the Autobots.
