Peter Encerrabodes "Pete" de Oliviera is one of the main protagonists of the popular Yellow Woodpecker Farm franchise, by Monteiro Lobato.
A strong-willed and athletic boy, Pete, despite living in the city, loves to spends all of his holidays in his grandma's farm, with his cousin Little Nose, the delicious treats made by Aunt Nastacia, and many friends such as the mischievous Emilia, the smart Viscount Corncob, as well as the many adventures that happen in the farm for no apparent reason, although the children don't seem to want to find any logic in the chaos and just enjoy Mrs. Benta's farm's magic.
In the TV Series, he was portrayed by César Cardadeiro, while in the animated series he was voiced by Vyni Takahashi (1st season), Pedro Volpato (2nd season) and Renato Cavalcanti (3rd and final season).

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]
- He loves his family very much, to the point he wants to spend all free time in his grandma's farm.
- Usually gets along Emilia and Little Nose very well.
- In the first novel, he prompts himself to beat up anyone who wants to mess up with him or his family.
- Helps save Emilia once.
- Protects the farm from an attack of the forest animals that wanted to kill everybody in the farm.
- Helps protect Custard Candy, Emilia's rhino, from its abusive circus owner who wanted to get him back.
- He helps Emilia undo what she did and make all humans go back to their natural size, preventing potential millions, if not billions of deaths.
- When he used Uncle Barnaby's steps and captured a Saci, despite having him as a slave, he makes friendship with him, and promises to free him if he stops making pranks in the farm and show him the secrets of the forest.
- After his cousin was turned into stone by the evil Crocodile sorcerer known as Cuca, he and Saci trapped the Cuca in a cave where a droplet of Water kept hitting her head until she couldn't take it anymore and undid Little Nose's curse. While this seems harsh, it was for a good cause and Cuca deserved it, not to mention she'd probably kill him and Saci if she was free.
- This way, he prevented Little Nose from going through a fate worse than death.
- He and Peter Pan protected Emilia's Angel, who had broken wing and was healing himself in the farm, when Popeye the Sailor Man wanted to steal him and gain profit out of him, a child.
- Decided to go back in time, to Greece, along with Emilia and Viscount, so they can help Hercules perform his Twelve Labors.
- While he asked Little Nose to stay back with Aunt Nastacia and Mrs. Benta, it was for a good cause as they get deadly worried anytime they go on adventures, and having one of them comforting them at time should be good for their health.
What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]
- He can often be a jerk to Emilia and Little Nose, although, just like Little Nose, in a far lesser scale than Emilia.
- He is violent and brutish sometimes, wanting to get things done in the harshest way possible.
Trivia[]
- If there was only the TV Series canon, Pete wouldn't qualify as Near Pure Good, as most, if not all of his actions are bog-standard there.
- He and Little Nose are the only two Yellow Woodpecker Farm characters to be Near Pure Good.
