What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Good?[]
- While she can get annoyed with them from time to time, Penny deeply loves her family and cares for their well-being.
- Regardless of how many times her friends ditch her and get her in trouble, Penny remains loyal to her friends and would stick up for them in the end.
- Penny participated in a protest when she learns that the founder of her hometown was a slave owner and wants to make a difference. As a result, she played a role in changing the town from Smithville to Emilyville.
- Whenever she finds herself doing wrong, she never hesitates to do the right thing.
- In Thelma and Luis, she helped Suga Mama put an end to a slavery operation where senior citizens were imprisoned
- In the first episode, despite being bitter enemies with LaCienaga, Penny saves her from being launched into outer space by the Gross Sisters' booby trap, which results in getting herself injured.
What Prevents Her From Being Pure Good?[]
- She has her jerkish moments, specifically in "Pulp Boot Camp" when she becomes a rebellious delinquent who disrespected her family. Thankfully, she reverses back to being a good person.
- She can be selfish at times. However, given that she is a teenager, this is to be expected, making it a minor prevention.
- Despite already being in a relationship with Kareem, she tried to flirt with Noah in "The End of Innocence" and it almost ruined her friendship with Zoey.
