Parker is a supporting character of the We Bare Bears franchise.
Like her fellow Poppy Rangers, Parker is a brave and adventurous little girl scout/troop/park ranger who has a close friendship with Ranger Tabes and the three Bears, more especially Grizzly, and aspires to grow up and become an aeronautical engineer in the future. Parker shows high commitment to her aforementioned fellow Poppy Rangers, but Parker is more silent and confident than the other Poppy Rangers, like Nguyen. Additionally, Parker seems to be the most patient and affectionate towards Grizz, similar to Murphy. Outside of her career as a park ranger like Ranger Tabes, Parker is typically seen casually playing with the other Poppy Rangers and having fun, more especially by having tissue and pillow fights with the other Poppy Rangers, or flying kites with them.
Parker is voiced by Danity Harris.
Her Good Ranking[]
What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Good?[]
In general[]
- Parker is a supportive, affable, affectionate, paragonic, benevolent and faithful girl who is heavily beneficial in numerous situations, showing high loyalty towards her fellow Poppy Rangers and more especially, Ranger Tabes and Grizz Bear, and Parker is almost never overconfident and incompetent in her heroism compared to the two, respectively, as with the other Poppies.
- Parker typically follows all of Ranger Tabes and Grizzly's commands, regardless of the severe consequences those commands will unleash.
- Despite showing clear awareness of Grizz's moral flaws, Parker builds a huge friendship towards Grizz Bear, even though she was astonished to encounter him for the first time, equivalent to Chloe's first interaction with the three bears. Additionally, Parker even refers him as "Bear Guy," "Mr. Bear" or "Mr. Bear Guy" rather than just aliasing him as a traditional bear animal by basically calling him "Bear," like the other Poppies, which references Grizz and his fellow bear brothers' philanthropic interaction with the human race. Additionally, although not to the extent of Murphy, Parker does not show significant grudge against Grizz's incompetence and had high patience with him more than the other Poppies. Thus, Parker is argued to be perceived as the most welcoming of the Poppy Rangers to Grizz in terms of friendship.
- Out of the rest of the Poppy Rangers, Parker, along with Murphy, seems to have the least amount of corrupting factors among them, and is not as drastically lethal as the other Poppies, even in their primeval and psychotic states.
- Parker lacks most of the corrupting factors most of the Poppies have, such as arrogance (Wallace and Nguyen), being dissociative (Murphy) and lethal (Diaz). Additionally, Parker shows the least amount grudge against Grizz and his incompetence (aside from Murphy) and had more patience with him and his flaws than the other Poppy Rangers. Thus, Parker is argued to be shown as the most welcoming of the Poppy Rangers to Grizz in terms of friendship. To make this even better, even before the Poppies cheerleaded for Grizz to defeat the villainous Ivy Rangers and Ranger Zhao (as well as offering Grizz a positive influence to reform himself from his traditional incompetence), Parker still had the passion to encourage Grizz through his lack of skill in kickball during the Peewee Ranger Games by yelling out to him, "You can do it, bear guy!" in a sign of pure kindness.
- Parker is a voice of pure reason in several occasions:
- When Ranger Tabes encourages Parker and the other Poppies to explore the Howling Mountain Cave for the Spelunking Badge, Parker and the other Poppies were reluctant on it and tried to reason with her, with Parker stating that the Howling Mountain Cave is "really scary" to embark through for attaining the Spelunking Badge, fearing the danger they will get themselves into (and sided with Grizz in deciding to take the safer route of the cave), such as being eventually stranded in the cave, and Ranger Tabes felt insecure when they did get stranded, but Parker encouraged her that she is still the "coolest" forest ranger, motivating Tabes into optimism and getting herself, Grizz, Parker and the other Poppy Rangers out of the cave.
- When Nguyen lost his patience with Grizz after failing to feed her and the other Poppies, finally succumbing to starvation and insanity, Parker comforted and reassured Nguyen.
- After the Ranger War in the episode, Lord of the Poppies, Parker was reluctant on eating Grizz, even though she and the other Poppies kidnapped him in the first place to do so, but this was out of immense starvation that comes sheer insanity, and even Grizz himself allowed Parker and the Poppies to devour him in order to keep them alive, so this is understandable.
- Despite being dismissive of Grizz and his incompetence in the annual Ranger Games, Parker eventually motivates and encourage him to defeat the Ivy Rangers, more especially through cheerleading, in which Grizz reforms his incompetence because of this. Even before that instance, Parker had the passion to encourage Grizz through his lack of skill in kickball during the Peewee Ranger Games by yelling out to him, "You can do it, bear guy!" in a show of pure kindness.
Her actions[]
- Alongside the other Poppies, Parker saved Wallace from Hurricane Hal, even if it endangered herself.
- When Ranger Tabes felt pessimistic and worthless when getting herself, the Poppies, Grizz and Parker, the latter encouraged her that she is still the "coolest" forest ranger, motivating Tabes into optimism and getting herself, Grizz, Parker and the other Poppy Rangers out of the Howling Mountain Cave before it collapsed on them.
- As the other Poppies become psychotic from too much starvation, Parker attempted to withstand herself from insanity and hallucinating Grizz as a hamburger (which prompted her and the Poppies to almost devour him), stating that her stomach can "eat itself."
- Parker, alongside the other Poppy Rangers and their fellow commander, Ranger Tabes, assisted Grizz Bear, Ice Bear and Panda Bear in defeating Agent Trout, leading to his deserved imprisonment and preventing Trout from unlawfully capturing and torturing the three bears.
- While Ranger Tabes and Grizz are more admirable than Parker and the other Poppies throughout the series, both of them have far more resources than Parker as Tabes and Grizz boast almost superhuman physical strength, and the latter even possesses sharp claws and the ability to unleash a loud and devastating roar. Meanwhile, Parker is just a little girl with genius-level intelligence and skill in spikesmanship, as well as attaining additional physical strength in Lord of the Poppies.
What Prevents Her From Being Pure Good?[]
- Despite her heightened level of admirable actions throughout the series, Parker still manages to fail the admirable standards to Grizz, who saved dozens of endangered grizzly bears from a wildfire, and Ranger Tabes, who prevented Norm from annihilating the forest, and summoned the Ranger Con Rangers to imprison Norm to prevent the latter from causing even more chaos, and performed even more admirable actions throughout the series, among others.
- Despite Parker's aforementioned loyalty towards the other Poppies and being devoid of the arrogance most of the Poppies have, Parker is still eager and (at a minimum) jerkish enough to still argue and bicker with the other Poppies from time to time.
- Parker is shown to be dissociative and lethal to be qualified as PG, as shown in the episode, Lord of the Poppies, where she and the other Poppies fall into insanity after succumbing to immense starvation and having had enough of Grizz's incompetence in attempting to feed them, going as far as turning against Grizz and attempting to devour him. Additionally, Parker is also too control freakish and berserking, shown during the brutal Ranger War, Parker insulted and brutally fought the other Poppies for the guidebook to attain leadership, just to rule over the other Poppies out of ruthlessness, as well as attempting to attack the other Poppies over the Elite Ranger Guidebook using wooden spikes, which would have heavily endangered the Poppies.
- Parker traumatized Grizz by jumpscaring him while wielding a fork and a spoon to devour him while she and the other Poppies become psychotic from starvation and go after Grizz as they hallucinate him as a "walking hamburger" to eat in the episode, Lord of the Poppies. To make this even worse, the fork and the spoon Parker was wielding was intended to impale and cut Grizz as a "hamburger" into pieces to devour.
Trivia[]
- Along with the other Poppies, Parker was originally classified as a Heroic Benchmark, but when the brilliance of her saving Wallace from the Hurricane Hal, and offering a positive influence to Grizz and Ranger Tabes with even fewer resources was pointed out, Parker was eventually approved as Near Pure Good.
