Owen Grady is the main protagonist of the Jurassic World trilogy. He is a dinosaur tamer and Claire Dearing's love interest.
He is portrayed by Chris Pratt.

Background[]
- He was a graduate of the NAVY unit.
- He nurtured the surviving infant Velociraptors till they were fully grown, teaching them to rely more on a combination of empathy and respect. On top of that, he grew an almost fatherly bond with Blue.
Jurassic World[]
- Despite being initially nihilistic, he’s still shown to have been extremely affable and respectful to his co-workers, specially Barry Sembène.
- He cares for his raptors as if they are his family, warns that they should be given mutual respect and was utterly disgusted by Hoskins’ plan to utilize them as weapons. His opposition was also out of sensibility, as the raptors are not fully tamed and can still be dangerous even to him, their alpha, willing to attack him when he shows weakness.
- He saves a young handler from being mauled by the Velociraptors. also instructs his men not to shoot his raptors during the rescue and risks his own life to do so.
- Helping Claire get rid of a mosquito.
- Opposes creating hybrids to boost tourism and tells Claire that creating dinosaurs should be impressive.
- Unaware of their intentions, he respectfully criticizes Claire Dearing for raising the Indominus rex in isolation, as animals raised in captivity with little contact with others can be volatile.
- Upon noticing that the Indominus may have escaped her paddock, he ventures inside with two handlers in order to find a solution to how she could have escaped.
- After the two handlers who aided him were killed by the Indominus, he realizes how dangerous and intelligent she is and insists Claire and Simon Masrani have her killed. He then orders them to call off their initial attack, albeit to no avail, knowing non-lethal weapons would be ineffective against her and the ACU troops would die.
- After most of the troops who went after the Indominus were killed, he demands that they evacuate the island and terminate her immediately.
- He attempts to prevent visitors from entering the park Jurassic World, not wanting to put any more lives at risk.
- Suggests Masrani talk to Henry Wu about the creation of the hybrid, which helps him discover Wu's involvement in the damage.
- He agrees to help Claire search the jungle for her nephews after they don't return from the Gyrosphere Valley.
- Despite her pettiness and aggression, he rarely, if ever, lashes out at Claire during the search and attempts to advise her on how to keep the animals at bay.
- While he insists that he is in charge during their expedition to Jurassic World, his reasoning is justified and doesn't make him a control freak since he is vastly more experienced compared to Claire.
- He comforts a dying Apatosaurus before it succumbs to its wounds from the Indominus, and this scene also made him realize how much of a sadistic monster the Indominus was.
- He tries to keep Claire protected from the Indominus after she attacks them in the abandoned Visitor Centre.
- He's genuinely horrified by Masrani’s death and saves Claire from being snatched by a Pteranodon.
- Upon returning to Main Street, he aids the surviving ACU units in tranquilizing the escaped pterosaurs.
- He keeps Claire and her nephews hidden from the pterosaurs.
- Upon hearing that Hoskins is now plotting to weaponize the Velociraptors against the Indominus, he immediately takes control of the operation, knowing that with his knowledge of the animals, he could ensure both the animals' and troops' safety.
- He comforts a distressed Blue after she's muzzled by Hoskins.
- Unlike the other troops, he isn't shown firing at the Indominus after she blackmails the raptors, possibly because he knows it may also provoke them.
- He lowers his gun upon encountering Charlie in the grass and is shown to be quite saddened when one of the troops kills her with a rocket.
- He saves Barry from being seriously injured by Blue.
- He helps Claire and the kids escape the vengeful Velociraptors by leading them to Main Street.
- Upon realizing that the raptors feel manipulated, he removes the tracking device from Blue's head and affectionately pets her, regaining their loyalty.
- He tries to help Charlie and Echo fight the Indominus (by shooting on her), and once his plan fails, he immediately rushes to protect Zach and Gray.
- He saves Claire and the kids from being crushed several times during the Indominus confrontation with Rexy and Blue.
- He stayed by Claire's side even after the events, though probably since they fell in love.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom[]
- While he was against the plan at first he also tried to convince Claire of it.
- Despite their last moments together, he's still shown to care a great deal for Blue as he's shown watching footage of the Raptors as infants.
- While he was initially willing to allow the dinosaurs to die, eventually agrees to help Claire save the surviving dinosaurs on Isla Nublar from going extinct.
- Upon locating Blue, he immediately resorts to using similar tactics he did while she was in captivity, and it quickly grants him her loyalty once again.
- He orders Wheatley and his men to back down after they prematurely capture Blue.
- He warns Claire and Franklin of the stampede upon reuniting with them.
- He saves the two from being trampled by pulling them in front of a Gyrosphere.
- He saves Claire and Franklin from drowning after their Gyrosphere rolls off a cliff into the ocean.
- Helping his friends reach the ship fleeing the island include turn for Franklin when he fall from magma ruins, nearly being caught in an explosion in the process. also allowing Claire to drive an empty truck in the meantime.
- He, along with Claire, Franklin and even the mercenaries, mourns a Brachiosaurus that didn't make it off the island.
- He helps Claire retrieve blood from Rexy in order to save Blue from dying from her bullet wound.
- He comforts Blue while Zia performs an operation on the wound to extract the bullet.
- Upon noticing a road, he planned to inform law enforcement in a nearby town of the dinosaur auction, only to be caught by Wheatley’s men.
- He tries multiple times to reason with Mills throughout the film, most notably when they’re imprisoned before the auction.
- He frees Stiggy by having her demolish a wall and door in order to help them escape, developing some sort of bond with her as well.
- Upon discovering Maisie and learning that her grandfather had just been murdered, he comforts her and agrees to help her escape.
- He allows Stiggy to attack the auctioneers, forcing them to flee and preventing any more dinosaurs from being sold.
- Prevents one of the mercenaries from shooting Stiggy and then dropping a line of mercenaries who tried to continue the sale.
- He prevents the Indoraptor from being loaded into a cargo truck.
- Upon being misinformed that Maisie is a clone of Lockwood's deceased granddaughter, he doesn't view her any differently than he previously did.
- He protects Claire and Maisie from the Indoraptor in the museum and immediately rushes to protect Maisie after he chases after her.
- Prevents the Indoraptor from climbing the stairs, helps Maisie make it to the elevator in time.
- Before the Indoraptor attacks Maisie he enters the room and shoots it, also indirectly drawing Blue to save them both.
- He again assists Blue during her fight with the Indoraptor whilst protecting Maisie from attacks, debris and from falling from the roof of the mansion.
- He allows Claire to point a gun laser at the Indoraptor to deflect him, essentially risking his life to destroy her. this caused to the Indoraptor's downfall and defeat.
- Although he advises Claire to let the dinosaurs die, his motivations are understandable as they were not isolated on an island and he doesn't believe that dinosaurs and humans can cope with each other.
- He comforts Blue and offers to relocate her to the sanctuary and accepts her decision to remain on the mainland.
Jurassic World: Dominion[]
- He and Claire adopt Maisie and keep her protected from anyone who may come searching for her.
- He helps a group of cowboys round up a herd of escaped Parasaurolophus from an illegal breeding facility.
- He may have been an active participant in the rescue organization: "Department of Fish and Wildlife", based on his accomplices being members of the organization.
- Although he keeps Maisie hidden from anyone besides Claire and himself, he's merely doing it to protect her from anyone who may want to kidnap her for unethical experimentation. Thus, while it's arguably controlling, it's still the safest and most justified decision.
- He saves Maisie from being attacked by Blue after she gets too close to Beta.
- He rushes to save Beta and Maisie after they're kidnapped by Delacourt.
- He and Claire fly to Malta to shut down a dinosaur black market and locate Maisie with the help of Barry.
- He and Barry's men chase Delacourt through the black market, freeing many captive dinosaurs in the process.
- He saves Barry from being killed by one of the Atrociraptors, and the two manage to harmlessly contain the animal.
- Although he is responsible for the death of Rainn Delacourt. He deserved it and he didn't mean for the Baryonyx to get to him, but only to extract information from him.
- He's the reason Barry was able to arrest Soyona Santos and shut down the black market.
- He, Claire, and Kayla fly to Biosyn in order to rescue Maisie.
- He allows Claire to eject from the plane safely after it's damaged by a Quetzalcoatlus.
- He helps Kayla escape the Pyroraptor and expresses his gratitude for helping him save Maisie.
- He saves Claire from being killed by one Dilophosaurus.
- He frees Grant, Sattler, Maisie, and Malcolm from a tilted car.
- He helps the group defend themselves against Giganotosaurus, include Prevented both Sattler and Claire from falling during the climb to the temple.
- He offers Grant and Sattler water.
- He, Maisie, and Grant return to the sanctuary to rescue Beta, and throughout the remainder of the Biosyn scenes on Biosyn, he carries a tranquilized Beta on his shoulder.
- While willing to shoot Henry Wu because he feared he would be a danger, he agreed to escape the sanctuary with him and destroy the locusts.
- He rushes to protect the group when they encounter Rexy, worried she may attack them.
- He keeps Claire and Maisie protected while they're caught up in Rexy and the Giganotosaurus's fight.
- He returns Beta to Blue and reconciles with the latter.
What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]
- He reacts like a jerk during division with Claire by dropping Lowery's miniatures, even though he didn't do anything wrong.
- He assaults Hoskins upon arriving at the raptor pen during the Indominus rex's rampage. While his anger was understandable given the circumstances, he wasn't provoked quite enough to justify his rash behavior. He was similarly quickly provoked into using violence towards Eli Mills as he tried to break his hand and towards Ken Wheatley because one of his men shot Blue, though considering the type of people they were, this is understandable.
- He's shown to be occasionally cocky at times, although this is a minor prevention as it’s normally harmless jokes.

- Though he is currently Near Pure Good, this could possibly change with the upcoming Jurassic World Rebirth
