Oswald The Lucky Rabbit is the deuteragonist of the Epic Mickey series. He is Mickey's half-brother and ruler of the wasteland. He is a former actor and mascot of Disney before being forgotten. He was initially resentful to Mickey Mouse, however, after meeting him in person, he realized that Mickey wasn't what thought he was, and accepted him as his friend and brother.
He was voiced by Frank Welker, who also voiced Gyro Gearloose in DuckTales.
His Good Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]
Epic Mickey[]
- Prior to the events of the game, he and his girlfriend Ortensia, trapped the Shadow Blot in a giant bottle so as to stop him from terrorizing Wasteland.
- While he was initially rather envious and vengeful of Mickey, he still tried to help Mickey escape Wasteland by helping him fix the rocket in Tomorrow City.
- If Mickey gives him Ortensia's locket, he sincerely thanks him and gives him a health upgrade.
- After accidentally opening the bottle that the Shadow Blot was imprisoned in, Oswald assisted Mickey in getting to Dark Beauty castle so as to set up the fireworks in order to defeat the evil Shadow Blot, who was attempting to take over the world.
- When he was sucked into the Shadow Blot, and had hold of Mickey's heart, even though he seemed to hesitate to give it back to him, he warmed up to him and allowed to obtain his heart back so Mickey could escape the Wasteland and set off the fireworks to defeat the Blot once and for all, seeing why Walt Disney liked him better.
- Although Oswald was initially rather cynical, jealous and completely resentful to Mickey, towards the end of the game, he subverts his resentment towards him, and by the end of the game becomes best friends with him.
- He forgave Mickey for causing the Thinner Disaster.
Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two[]
- At the start of the game, he began progress on repairing Wasteland.
- At the start of the game he saves a baby from falling down a fissure and returns the baby to the mother, risking his life in the process as it was during an earthquake.
- Cleared the rubble in dark beauty castle saving Mickey, Gus, and Ortensia.
- Along with Mickey, he repaired the projector substation.
- Along with Mickey, they both fixed the projector screens to several other sides of wWsteland.
- Along with Mickey and Gremlin Sparks, he destroyed the evil Beetleworxes in Bog Easy, saving the lives of many.
- He, along with Mickey Mouse stopped Prescott's plan on getting revenge by taking over the Wasteland.
- Along with mickey he destroyed the machine in autotopia which was pumping the guardians into a crystal that enslaved them, this also resulted in autotopia no longer being a dangerous area.
- After he found out that Prescott was only a pawn to the Mad Doctor's scheme of kidnapping the guardians out of Wasteland to become a toon and leaving it for destruction, while he gets to leave and be remembered, he saw horrified, so he and Mickey successfully thwart his plan of destruction towards Wasteland.
- When the Mad Doctor threatens to kill his loved ones, by forcing Mickey to give up the magic paintbrush, Oswald stops him, because he noticed the Mad Doctor's claiming he'd let their friends go was an empty ruse, as he was going to leave them to die anyways.
- After defeating the Mad Doctor, Oswald (despite nearly losing everything because of him) tries to save the Mad Doctor from falling into an ocean of Thinner.
- Even if Oswald is willing to kill the Mad Doctor by releasing the thinner guardians in the thinner path, this was done purely out of self-defense as the Mad Doctor was trying to drag him and Mickey down with him.
- But in the end of the paint path, he will help the Mad Doctor after he had saved them, which ends in the Mad Doctor having a genuine change of heart and promising to atone for his crimes, redeeming himself.
- While he did have a few heating up periods this was mostly due to having his insecurity of being forgotten coming back due to the Mad Doctor's manipulations towards him and Wasteland's denizens, he gets over it at the end of the game.
What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]
- He's arguably slightly lethal, seeing as how he (like Mickey) has been shown to have killed several Blotlings, because Oswald can be seen killing multiple Blotlings in the background of the false Shadow Blot's boss battle, even though some of them aren't attacking him.
