You're no one's god, Unicron.
~ Optimal Optimus before killing Unicron for good.

Optimus Primal is a major protagonist in The Power of Primes, the final act of the Prime Wars Trilogy.

He was the guardian and protector of the ancient Cybertron technology artifact, The Requiem Blaster, a weapon that can fire sonic outputs equivalent to a quasar's, quite literally having the strength of a Black Hole's gravity. While his task to protect the weapon initially had put him in conflict with Megatron, he eventually surrendered it to him, knowing he had good intentions.

He was voiced by Ron Perlman, who also played Hellboy in the 2004 film and its sequel.

His Good Ranking[]

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]

  • He protected the Requiem Blaster for many centuries, as it had immense destructive power.
  • While he initially fought against Megatron to defend the Blaster, he trusted him and gave it to him.
  • He later joined Megatron's team himself to help save Cybertron, and while he did retreated from Overlord, he later delivered the Blaster to Megatron to finish him off.
  • He showed respect to Megatron's group while they fought against Megatronus.
  • As his most powerful form, Optimal Optimus, he removed the Matrix of Chaos out of the Hot Rod.
  • He defeated Unicron and removed the Matrix of Conquest from his chest.
  • He finished Megatron off with a blast from the Requiem Blaster as the latter sacrificed himself to defeat Unicron.
  • He had a conversation with Optimus Prime upon the latter's resurrection, where he was ensured to be taught the way of the Cybertron and help bring it to a new age of prosperity.
  • He passed the admirable standards by protecting the Requiem Blaster and leave it only to good use, plus helping defeating in heinous villains including Overlord, Megatronus, and ultimately, Unicron.

What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]

  • He was warned (and due to having protected it for many years, he knew very well) of how dangerous utilizing the Requiem Blaster was, and still did so, despite it being the last resort and there being other ways to finish Unicron off without sacrificing Megatron, making him too reckless.
