Neji Hyūga was a shinobi of the Leaf Village assigned to Team Guy with Rock Lee and Tenten. He is part of the Hyūga Clan at the Bunke Branch. He used to be a major antagonist from the Chunin Exams arc before he ultimately redeems himself.
He is voiced by Koichi Tochika and Keiko Nemoto in the Japanese version, and by Steve Staley and Wendee Lee in the English version.

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]
- Ever since he learned the truth about his father who chose to sacrifice himself to protect the Hyūga clan, Neji started to cry, and this is the moment where he starts to subvert all of his bad qualities.
- On related note, though mostly shown in anime, he improves his relationsip with Hinata whom he initially resented.
- Saved Sasuke at the Forest of death by scaring Dosu.
- Fought and defeated Kidomaru, one of the Four Sound and his purpose to fight him is to save Sasuke.
- Participated in Kazekage Rescue Mission.
- During the Fourth Great War Shinobi he was shown to be very protective and selfless, especially when he sacrificed his life to save Naruto and Hinata by using his body as a shield.
What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]
- He fails the admirable standards to some other heroes who also did similar to him. For example, Sasuke when he almost gave his life by protecting Naruto against Haku, and Obito who sacrificed his life by protecting Naruto and Kakashi.
