Nominations for articles to be featured on the front page.

Guidelines[]

  • Nominations must be at the very least 350 words long.
  • An article is featured every month, or at the admins' discretion.
  • Whichever article has the most votes at the end of the month is featured for a month.
    • Each downvote counts as a point down for the nominee.
    • In case of a tie, the one with fewer downvotes wins.
  • Admin votes carry the same weight as regular users' votes.
  • All nominations and votes must be signed with four tildes (~~~~). Unsigned nominations and votes will be nullified.
  • Nominations and votes CANNOT BE CHANGED. Each user can only vote ONCE, for and against.
  • An article cannot be nominated twice in a row (if an article was nominated in the previous voting, it cannot be nominated again in the current one).
  • Users cannot nominate articles two months in a row.
  • Only six nominations max for every monthly voting are allowed. Any nomination surpassing this limit will be automatically disqualified.
  • CHEATING WILL NEVER BE TOLERATED. Any user who starts downvoting candidates just to rig the results or go asking other users to vote on his candidate will receive a warning and, in case of reincidence, a one month ban. No exceptions.
  • The use of sockpuppets in NPGFH is extremely forbidden, resulting in the permanent ban of the sockpuppet's account(s) and in the deletion of your nominated hero.
  • Once the vote was posted, there is no turning back to edit the description of your vote. If you voted against a candidate for a trivial reason and had your vote discarded by an admin, it will be forbidden to go back and edit the reason of your vote to make your denied vote valid again. Doing so will result in a week ban, NO exceptions.
  • There is a limit for how many times a hero can be nominated in a period of time. If a candidate is downvoted but still being brought to NPGFH more than once in the following months, the limit is 3 attempts. If a hero is downvoted 3 times, the hero can not be proposed again until 12 months has passed after the last proposal. Bringing the hero back before then is a violation of this rule and the candidate will be erased from the nominations. For this limit to reset, the hero must not be proposed for 12 months after the last proposal.
  • Only nominate a Near Pure Good that has a page on the wiki at the time you nominated them. If you try to nominate a Near Pure Good that you plan to make a page for, it will be removed.
  • If a candidate receives 5 loss in a row in this NPGFH, they will get temporarily suspended for 1 year.
  • In the event of a tie-breaker at the end of the month, if there is a single or multiple downvote for a candidate, then the candidate who receives the downvote(s) will be not be headlined.
  • In the event of a tie-breaker at the end of the month with no downvotes, there will be an extended voting period up to two days to break the tie-breaker.

Suggestions[]

  • Be original and creative with the nominations.
  • Don't vote against a hero if you haven't read the article about it yet.
  • Don't vote against a hero just because you know nothing about him/her/it.
  • Don't say anything that may be offensive to another.
  • If you're going to vote against, present an actual argument for your reasoning. "He's boring" or "I don't like him" aren't arguments.

Mickey Mouse[]

  • The character that started Disney, Mickey Mouse. I'm honestly surprised that this character isn't headlined on this wiki, and since the recent 96th birthday of Mickey Mouse has already passed, I thought I'd celebrate it by having Mickey Mouse headlined on this wiki, and I hope you all can follow as well. This character's relatable and humanlike qualities and features, combined with his iconic and recognizable design, made Mickey among the biggest influences in different media and generations, and among the most loved fictional characters in history. Being such a worldwide beloved figure, he is obviously seen as a symbol of joy, entertainment and childhood by the audience. So yeah, that's why I think Mickey Mouse should be a great candidate for being headlined. After all, Walt said that it all started with a mouse. Let's end off this year with this lovable mouse!
  • Also, there's gonna be an upcoming Christmas event at December 21st happening in Disney World, titled "Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party."
  • Yeah, I'm the scamp that caused Mickey to lose his chance at November's headline. Figure'd I make up for that by putting in my upvote for the mouse himself!
  • Hot Dog! Mickey is a very iconic character and Disney's mascot, So him being headlined on a major month like January is fitting.
  • Even though we would have to wait a couple of more years, I think Mickey would make a better headline in November 2028, as that's when he celebrates his 100th anniversary.

Kazuma Kiryu[]

  • I am surprised that no Yakuza/Like a Dragon characters have been nominated for headline across any moral ranking wikis, for such an iconic uprising video game franchise. Anyway, January 2026 will mark the 10 years anniversary of Yakuza Kiwami, the remake of the first game. 10 years is not just a nice number, but also an iconic number of years which heavily impacted Kiryu’s character arc in the very same game, as Kiryu was ready to take the fall for his brother Nishiki by enduring 10 years in the joint to keep his loved ones safe. This following event drastically changed the timeline of the Like a Dragon games, as well as Kiryu’s character arc in particular. Not just the 10 years, but also Kiryu himself being one of the most well-written and unique video game protagonists I have ever known. You would expect a protagonist being a tough guy who liked to fight? Nope, not our Kiryu, he was an extremely wise and moral person who, tried to improve himself from time to time, as well as trying his best to do as many selfless heroic acts as he could. Despite looking like a tough guy and an unstoppable force, Kiryu was deep down more than that, as it was just a mere façade to mask his true nature as a very soft, cheerful and emotional person who was ready to selflessly sacrifice himself for the benefits of the innocent people and his loved ones. One of the things that makes him special which I love is that despite his legendary titles, he cared little to none about them, but rather preferred a simple and quiet life while being an ordinary hero. Overall, I think the legendary Dragon of Dojima is worth getting headlined because of the upcoming month’s anniversary, as well as how iconic his character was among the video game industry.
  • As you said, January 2026 will be the 10 years anniversary of Yakuza/Like a Dragon series. Dame dane changed, and the series changed.
  • With Yakuza Kiwami (the remake of the first Yakuza game) turning 10 years olds in January of 2026, I think Kazuma Kiryu would make a good front headline this upcoming January, as a decade is a pretty good milestone, as basically stated in the first vote. Kiryu is also a bit of a new character on NPG wiki, as he was proposed and approved less than 3 months ago, him being headlined can make him a character that already feels a bit more associated with the site, rather than a random page you might find when pressing the "Random Page" button a few times. I also think it would be better to have characters who aren't as mainstream as others to be headlined until those more mainstreamed characters have their own kind of anniversary (ex. Mickey Mouse turning 100 in 2028 and Megamind being headlined in November for turning 10 years old).

  • The Shawshank Redemption is by far one of the best Stephen King movies, and considering how iconic the film is, Why don't we start this year by headlining it's protagonist, Andy Dufresne, who improved Shawshank prison which would benefit his fellow inmates' lives, and exposing Warden Norton and Guard Hadley of their corrupt deeds.
