Nala is the deuteragonist of Disney's The Lion King franchise.
She is the daughter of Sarafina, and the best friend of Simba, the son of Mufasa. When Mufasa was killed by his brother, Scar, and Simba was thought dead as well, Scar took over the kingdom, which led to a great sorrow, leading to Nala deciding to go look for help. In this journey, she found Simba, now as an adult, revealed to be alive and living with a boar and a meerkat. They all go back to the Pride Lands, to dethrone Scar once and for all. After that, Nala became Simba's wife and queen, being the mother of Kiara, the future ruler of the Pride Lands, and Kion, leader of the group that protects the Pride Lands and the Circle of Life, the Lion Guard.
She was voiced by Niketa Calame (Laura Williams singing) as a cub, and by Moira Kelly (Sally Dworsky singing) as an adult in the films. In The Lion Guard, she is voiced by Gabrielle Union.

- Kiara and Kovu, who reunited the Pridelanders and the Outsiders, ending their feud.
