Monica de Sousa is the titular main protagonist of Monica's Gang live action franchise. She is the deuteragonist of Bonds, main protagonist of Lessons and the deuteragonist of Monica's Gang: The Series. She is an extremely strong (physically and personality wise) girl who lives in São Paulo and is considered the "Leader of the Street". She often gets in discussions with her friend, Jimmy Five, though their relationship evolves throughout the movies, as they and the rest of their friends face problems they are not used to, especially when related to growing up.
She was portrayed by Giulia Benite.

What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Good?[]
- She is very friendly with Maggy.
- Despite their recurring fights, she immediately went comfort Jimmy over the loss of his dog, even apologizing if she beat him too hard the last day.
- She, Maggy and Smudge helped Jimmy look for Fluffy.
- She protected the Gang from Chubby's Gang, and made them talk where Fluffy was last seen.
- Even after Jimmy screamed at her face, she still helped him find Fluffy, despite being extremely mad with him.
- When she and the others discovered that a man was kidnapping dogs in the neighbourhood, so they could eventually be killed and their hair fat used to make "Cabelol" hair products, she helped the others shut the operation down.
- She made the Dogcatcher's car alarm sound to Jimmy could free the dogs, despite that making the Dogcatcher kidnap her.
- She trusted Sanson to Jimmy, so he could use it to save her, Smudge and Maggy, even if he had the terrible habit of trying to steal it.
- It is revealed she always protected Jimmy and Smudge from other bullies like Big Tom despite they messing with her.
- In the second movie, she tries to make new friends when she's moved from school.
- She defended Junior form a bully.
- She kept in touch with Maggy through Junior passing secret messages between the two.
- She, Jimmy, Maggy, Smudge and a lot of other characters recently added in the gang, helped making a "Romeu and Juliet" play to make Jimmy and Monica's families (who didn't want to let they see each other) realize the error of their ways and stop the feud.
- She was friendly at the start with Carmem, even though she acted arrogant.
- She was the only one that didn't laugh when Carmem called Smudge a pig.
- While she wanted to steal Carmem's journal to humiliate her, as soon as she read the journal and discovered how insecure Carmem was, just like MOnica herself, she not only didn't go through with her plan, but falsely affirmed that she was the one to have thrown mud in Carmem, to prevent Carmem, who accidentally threw it in herself because of her miopy, which her mother don't know she has, from facing punishment of her ever perfection-seeking mother.
- She, along the others, convinced Smudge not to go through with his plan of vandalizing Carmem's house with his uncle, making him understand his uncle's revenge seeking ways weren't the right ones, and preventing Smudge from becoming fallen,
- Created a new club at the end of the series, where all children, including former jerks, such as Carmem, Denise or the Bermudan Gang, could go and play all day, finally consolidating the Gang's friendship.
What Prevents Her From Being Pure Good?[]
- She can be overly wrathful sometimes, though this has been more controlled in the end.
- She can sometimes act mischievously.
Trivia[]
- She and Jimmy Five are the only two live action Monica's Gang heroes to be Near Pure Good, specially since most other characters are all standard.
