Marina Ida is a member of Off the Hook (alongside Pearl) and a major character in the Splatoon franchise, being one of the two tritagonists of the Octo Expansion DLC and the overarching protagonist of Side Order. She, along with Pearl, hosts Inkopolis News, along with the Splatfest events.

What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Good?

• After being freed from her mind control by the Squid Sisters' Calamari Inkantation, she joined them in their mission to rescue Cap'n Cuttlefish and save the entirety of Inkling and Octoling kind from Commander Tartar.
• Guided Agent 8 out of Deep Sea Metro.
• Created a plan that would help Agent 8 and 3 stop Commander Tartar from annihilating the entire species of Inklings and Octolings.
• Helped Agent 8, 3 and Cap'n Cuttlefish reach the surface along with Pearl.
• During the heroes' final battle with Tartar, she told Agent 8 to cover the statue with as much ink as possible using the prototype hyperbombs she created.

What Prevents Her From Being Pure Good?

• Fails the admirable standard to other heroes such as Agent 8, who, in spite of having less resources, ended up saving the world. She also fails the admirable standard to her friend, Pearl, who also saved the world with her same level of resources. But she seems to be doing the very best she can in these situations, so this is an incredibly minor prevention.

Trivia

• While she is currently Near Pure Good, her status could possibly change now that Side Order is out, since she has done more a lot more good there.
