Lydia is a major character in AMC's The Walking Dead, serving as a main protagonist in Season 9, and a major supporting character in Seasons 10 & 11.
She is a former member of the Whisperers and the daughter of their leader Alpha. After being rescued by Henry, she leaves the Whisperers and gets into a relationship with him that lasts until his death. After the Whisperer War ended, she joined the Commonwealth and started dating Elijah.
She is portrayed by Cassady McClincy.

What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Good?[]
- She gives herself back to the whisperers when they threaten to kill Alden and Luke.
- She doesn't give out more information about the other communities to Alpha.
- She defects from the Whisperers and joins the communities, finally realizing how bad they are.
- She saves Henry when he is stabbed by a Whisperer
- She doesn't fight back when Gage, Margo and Alfred attack her and insist that she's one of them.
- She defends Negan when Alfred and Gage blame Margo's death on him.
- She gives Carol advice on how to get info from a whisperer
- She saves Daryl after he passes out from his fight with Alpha and then spares Alpha, while also trying to convince her that her actions aren't right.
- She helps defend Hilltop when the Whisperers attack it.
- During the fight, Mary tries to convince her to flee but she refuses.
- She helps the survivors draw the herd away and convinces Negan to help out too.
- She lets everyone know how to get rid of the Whisperer horde.
- She goes to lead the walker horde off the cliff despite knowing it's a suicide mission.

- While she definitely started off as nihilistic and more villainous, this was mainly due to her mother's manipulation and she officially disowned her and her ways in season 9, fully aligning with the heroes.
- While the admirable standard is high, she stands out due to being just a teenager and having extremely low resources.
What Prevents Her From Being Pure Good?[]
- She has a few jerkish moments, such as telling Negan everyone wishes he was dead and hitting Carol after she lied to her.
- She can act immature and petty at times, like when she shoves goat poop in Gage and Rodney's faces for saying Henry likes Addy and skinning a dead rabbit in front of Gage and Margo while they're eating lunch.
- The latter is somewhat justified though since it was in retaliation for them bullying her for weeks.
