Terrorist: Lane? Lois Lane? The one Superman always saves?!
Lois Lane: Fraid so.
~ Terrorist and Lois Lane
One person at a time.
~ Lois after kissing Superman to reassure him that he doesn't need to win back the trust of the city and starting a relationship with him.

Lois Lane is a major character in the DC Animated Universe.

She serves as the deuteragonist of Superman: The Animated Series and a minor character in Justice League and Justice League Unlimited. She is the star reporter of the Daily Planet and Superman's love interest and later girlfriend.

She was voiced by Dana Delany as an adult and by Mae Whitman as a child who also voiced Katara from Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Her Good Ranking[]

What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Good?[]

  • She sometimes assists Superman in taking down many bad guys.
  • Although she was jerkish towards Clark Kent at first when she looked down on him for being from Kansas and even tried to ditch him when she was showing him around Daily Planet, she later warmed up to him and became good friends with him.
  • She saved Bruno Mannheim from being killed by Toyman and freed him from being hang up.
  • She also saved Superman's life a few times, such as throwing a hook on a mugger who tried to shoot Superman in "The Last Son of Krypton - Part 3".
  • She threw the kryptonite in a cup so Superman won't be affected by it and allowing him to defeat the mechanical Tyrannosaurus.
  • She tried to save Superman from Lobo by attacking him with a metal pipe.
  • She activates the completed projector and sends Jax-Ur and Mala back to the Phantom Zone.
  • She redeemed Superman's future counterpart from his tyranny after revealing that Lex Luthor tried to kill her when she got trapped in the Brave New Metropolis world.
  • She stopped Titano's destruction by playing Beppo's song through the microphone, saving the people from getting killed.
  • She saved Batman from being killed by the Wayne/Lex T-7 by throwing a fire extinguisher at it and treated his scrape from it. She also refused to reveal his secret identity after finding out he's Bruce Wayne in disguise as she still cares about him.
  • She tries to expose Detective Kurt Bowman who framed Ernest Walker for Clark Kent's "murder".
  • She tried to help Superman when he was weakened by fighting one of Darkseid's minions.
  • She saved Aquaman from being shot by Lex's henchmen by landing on one of them with a motorcycle and she helps him escape from them and to stop Atlantic and Lex's men from going to war by trying to stop the weapon's tests.
  • She stopped Superman from murdering Supergirl (who was brainwashed at the time), saving her and made him come to his senses from his brainwashing.
  • She saved Superman and Supergirl from the military and saved Superman from being killed by Lex Luthor who tried to inject him with kryptonite by tasing him and knocked out the guards with gas, which allowed Superman to travel to Apokolips to defeat Darkseid.
  • She comforted Superman when he was in shame for betraying the city's trust and kissed him and reassured him that he can only win back one person at a time.
  • Despite Superman and Supergirl being more admirable than her, she still stands out since she has less resources due to being a mere human.

What Prevents Her From Being Pure Good?[]

  • She can sometimes be a bit jerkish with others such as slapping Bruce Wayne's scrape on his back and says she'll get "burning, stinging iodine" for him keeping his identity a secret and can sometimes be pushy with Clark.
  • She can be a bit arrogant from time to time, such as teasing Clark and sometimes mocking others, but it is mostly harmless teasing meant in fun instead of being an actual jerk.
